I used to buy all my jeans from a feed/hardware store on the edge of my city. They used to have one or two brands of women's jeans that fit well, were $30 a pair, and would at least hold up for like five years of constant use. But now even at the feed store, they're $60–$80 a pair and they wear out in the crotch in eight months. That's not clothing, that's a shitty subscription service.
I am now buying $15–$25 Wranglers from the men's section. They fit fine and are sturdier/warmer. In fact, the majority of my clothes are from men's now.
Here's why.
Messages from the women's section in US clothing stores:
- it's not cheap fabric with short fibers! it's ~soft wash.~ it's slinky and form fitting.
- because your goal is obviously to be sexy
- and not, for example, ecologically friendly
- or cost effective
- or warm
- or to cover your junk
- it's like gift wrap! you can use tissue paper!
- wait you want slightly more of our cheap-ass "fabric"? SHAME. SHAME UPON THEE. go to the PLUS SIZE SECTION, populated by SAD CLOTHES and AGEISM.
- oh those don't fit either? lol!
- all our sizes are based on fairy dreams anyway :)
- btw are you sexy yet? no of course not
- you haven't bought new clothes in six months. ew lol you're so out of style
- you need to buy underwear? well here's 270 options, 14 of which will fit you, 2 of which are remotely comfortable, and 0 of which will hold up after a year or two
- and a giant store display featuring a badly photoshopped woman in a satin nightgown nobody would ever actually sleep in
- are you sexy yet?
Messages from the men's section in US clothing stores:
- [ford truck commercial voice] these clothes are RUGGED and HARD WEARING so you can do REAL WORK like a MAN
- clothing sizes roughly based off garment measurements; not always consistent but an attempt was made at least
- all the most common sizes are sold in the same section from the same brands and styles
- you should buy THESE pants because they're INFUSED with TECHNOLOGY
- and FORGED with EXTRA POCKETS
- and they're WEATHERPROOF down to -2000 DEGREES
- so they're $50 instead of $20 like our basic jeans :)
- (which also have multiple pockets that are each bigger than some purses)
- you're still wearing the same t-shirt and jeans you've had for the last 6 years but now there's a hole in the armpit you don't know how (or can't be bothered) to fix? haha same bro. props for being vintage. here's another identical one. see you in 6 years
- AMERICAN GROWN COTTON [bald eagle screech] and GENUINE LEATHER [horse galloping noise]
- (sometimes/in some places our quality is trash anyway and we still double our prices every 5 years but shhhh)
- boxers or briefs? pick these and get extra support and ventilation for your GIANT—
...That said.
It's not a perfect fix, but even for larger or very curvy bodies, it's worth checking out all the men's brands you reasonably can. I still like women's socks tho. If you haven't tried socks from women's—do it. Those double layered slipper socks are amazing actually.
Quick note for trans gals: I'm so sorry y'all 🥲 you're walking into an incredibly expensive and inconvenient system. (Again.) Just know that the struggle to find something that fits well is, unfortunately, an experience shared by basically all women these days.
I'm so pissed right now. I know that fabric has been declining in quality for a while but I just bought new pajamas from kmart and they are literally see through. Not just through one layer of fabric either; I can see through the leg, that is, through 2 layers of fabric. These aren't clothes. I am not exaggerating when I say that I have strained soup through cheesecloth thicker than these pants. These are men's flannel pajamas, the kind people wear in winter, and they are made if shittier thinner fabric than even the most bargain bin bullshit halloween costumes. This "flannel" feels like plastic and is thinner than a chux wipe. Why is this even for sale.
#btw the mostly-online clothing store Land's End is still pretty good. it's on the pricier side but if you can get stuff on clearance.#their stuff will generally last 5+ years if treated well#throw out your fabric softener tho. it's not helping#hanging things up to dry and/or using low heat/tumble dry settings can also help a lot#capslock#body shaming

✨Double Trouble✨
Summary: Christmas in the bunker was supposed to be quiet. With the twins finally in bed, Dean and you were ready to enjoy a little “grown-up time”. But as always with these two, nothing went as planned.
-Christmas Special-
Pairing: Dean x Reader
Warnings: 18+ only! Smut, Fluff
Word Count: 9734
A/N: English isn’t my first language, please be lenient. ❤️
The bunker was quiet, the kind of quiet that only came on Christmas Eve when all the excitement of the day had simmered into the promise of tomorrow. You should’ve known better than to trust your five-year-old twins, Ellie and Jake, to stay in bed. But Dean had insisted, grinning ear-to-ear, that they’d be too tired from all the snowball fights and cookie decorating to cause any mischief.
Apparently, that grin lied.
You were leaning against the counter in the kitchen, enjoying the brief silence. The soft glow of the string lights you’d hung around the bunker shimmered faintly, casting a warm, cozy light over the room. It was moments like these—rare, fleeting moments—that made everything else worth it. The chaos, the hunting, the danger. This was home.
Dean walked in quietly, brushing flour off his dark flannel, his hair slightly disheveled. He still had that boyish grin, the one that had charmed you all those years ago and hadn’t lost its effect. He didn’t say anything at first, just stood there for a moment, watching you. You could feel his eyes on you, the weight of his gaze making your cheeks flush.
“Hey,”, he said softly, his voice warm, as he crossed the kitchen toward you.
“Hey yourself”, you replied, smiling at him as he closed the distance between you.
“You look too calm”, he teased, resting a hand on the counter beside you and leaning in slightly. “Makes me think you’re plotting something”.
You rolled your eyes, shaking your head. “For once, no. Just enjoying the quiet while it lasts”.
Dean smirked, his other hand slipping around your waist. “Quiet doesn’t last long around here. Might as well make the most of it”.
Before you could reply, he leaned in and kissed you, soft at first, then deeper, his lips warm and familiar. His hand slid to the small of your back, pulling you closer, and the tension of the day melted away in an instant. For a moment, it was just the two of you—no monsters, no apocalypse-level threats, no five-year-old twins who could rival Sam and Dean in sheer determination. Just you and him.
You smiled against his lips when he finally pulled back, his forehead resting lightly against yours. “What’s that for?”, you whispered, still feeling the warmth of him surrounding you.
Dean shrugged, though his smirk deepened. “Do I need a reason to kiss my wife?”.
“Guess not”, you murmured, sliding your hands up to rest on his shoulders. “Not that I’m complaining”.
“Better not”, he teased, his tone light. “Otherwise, I’ll have to—”.
Before he could finish, the sound of not-so-stealthy giggling reached you both from the hallway. Dean pulled back slightly, frowning in mock annoyance. “You hear that?”, he whispered, though the twinkle in his eye gave him away.
“I hear it”, you replied, sighing as you glanced toward the doorway. “And I think I know exactly who it is”.
Dean smirked, his hands still resting on your waist. “Think we should let ‘em sweat it out, or should we just go ahead and bust them?”.
“Let’s see how far they’re willing to take this”, you said, grinning as you leaned against him.
Before either of you could move, Ellie’s little blonde head peeked around the corner, quickly followed by Jake’s. They froze when they realized they’d been caught, their identical green eyes wide with a mixture of guilt and amusement.
“Uh-oh”, Jake whispered, elbowing his sister. “Run?”.
Ellie shook her head, whispering back loudly, “No, we gotta play it cool!”.
Dean chuckled, letting his hands drop as he turned toward the doorway. “Alright, you two little troublemakers”, he said, his voice carrying just enough mock sternness to make them squirm. “What are you doing out of bed?”.
Ellie straightened her spine, clearly deciding to be the spokesperson for their operation. “We were just… making sure Santa didn’t need any help”, she said, her small chin lifting with determination.
Jake nodded vigorously. “Yeah, ‘cause, you know, Christmas is important”.
Dean raised an eyebrow, glancing at you as he leaned back against the counter. The corners of his mouth twitched as he tried not to laugh. “Uh-huh. And what’s so important about sneaking through the bunker in the middle of the night?”.
Ellie’s confidence faltered just slightly, and Jake’s gaze darted to the floor. They exchanged a quick, silent sibling look before Ellie blurted out, “We were looking for presents!”.
Dean groaned dramatically, dragging a hand down his face, though the twinkle in his eye gave him away. “Of course you were. You two are worse than I was at your age”.
“Got that right”. you muttered under your breath, earning a smirk from him.
“Did you find anything?”, Dean asked, crouching slightly to look them in the eye.
“Nooo”, Jake admitted, dragging out the word. “But we did see you kissing Mom, so… ew”.
Ellie wrinkled her nose in agreement. “So gross”.
You chuckled, rolling your eyes at the twins. They were a whirlwind of mischief wrapped in innocence, and as much as they drove you and Dean crazy, you wouldn’t trade them for the world.
Ellie and Jake padded into the kitchen, their tiny feet barely making a sound against the bunker’s cool floor. Their sheepish grins betrayed their earlier bravado, and you were just about to send them back to bed when another figure appeared in the doorway.
Sam.
He looked like he had just fallen out of bed, his hair a mess, and his flannel pajamas slightly askew. His face carried the same half-annoyed, half-amused expression he always wore when dealing with his niece and nephew’s antics.
“Let me guess”, Sam said, rubbing his eyes and stifling a yawn. “The dynamic duo strikes again?”.
Dean smirked, crossing his arms as he leaned against the counter. “What gave it away, Sammy? The giggling or the fact that it’s two in the morning?”.
Sam sighed, shaking his head. “I was hoping they’d finally give you guys a break. Especially after the sugar high they’ve been on all day”.
Jake piped up, “We weren’t doing anything bad, Uncle Sam!”.
Ellie nodded in agreement, tugging on Sam’s sleeve as if to convince him. “Yeah! We were just making sure Santa’s okay!”.
Sam raised an eyebrow, looking down at them skeptically. “Uh-huh. And you thought Santa was hiding in the bunker kitchen?”.
Dean snorted, clearly enjoying the show. “Give ‘em some credit, Sammy. At least they’re committed”.
Meanwhile, Sam’s son, Caleb, was notably absent, which didn’t escape Dean’s notice. “And where’s the little angel?”, Dean asked, glancing behind Sam. “Still tucked in, dreaming about saving kittens or whatever perfect kids dream about?”.
Sam rolled his eyes but couldn’t hide a smirk. “He’s asleep, like a normal kids. Not wandering around trying to play detective”.
“Pfft”, Dean said, waving a dismissive hand. “He’s just too scared to get caught. These two? Fearless”.
Ellie beamed at the backhanded compliment, while Jake puffed out his chest, clearly proud of their escapade. You shook your head, stepping in before they got any more ideas.
“Alright, enough”, you said firmly, placing your hands on your hips. “Ellie, Jake, back to bed. Now”.
“But Moooom!”, they whined in unison, dragging out the word as though it might change your mind.
Dean, however, backed you up, straightening to his full height and putting on his best stern-dad face. “Don’t ‘but Mom’ her. Get your butts in bed before Santa really skips over the bunker”.
The twins’ eyes widened, and Ellie clutched Jake’s arm. “He won’t skip us, will he?”, she asked, her voice tinged with panic.
“That depends on how fast you get to bed”, Dean replied, pointing toward the hallway.
That was all it took. They scurried out of the kitchen, their little footsteps echoing down the hall as they whispered frantically about whether Santa had heard them.
Once they were gone, the silence returned, broken only by the low hum of the bunker’s lights. Sam chuckled softly, shaking his head. “You guys have your hands full”.
Dean clapped him on the shoulder. “Hey, you could’ve had twins too, but nooo, you got lucky with Mr. Perfect”.
Sam smirked. “Caleb’s not perfect, he’s just… well-behaved”.
Dean shot him a mock glare. “Same thing. Next time, send him over here. Maybe some of that ‘well-behaved’ will rub off”.
“Doubt it”, Sam said dryly.
Just as Sam turned to head back to his room, the sound of tiny, pattering footsteps echoed back down the hall. You sighed, already knowing who it was before Ellie and Jake reappeared in the doorway, their little faces full of a mix of defiance and something you recognized as an attempt at innocence.
Sam stopped in his tracks and turned back, raising an eyebrow. “Didn’t you two just get sent to bed?”.
Ellie, clutching her favorite stuffed animal—a well-loved bunny missing one ear—padded straight toward you. “Mommy, we can’t sleep”, she said softly, her green eyes wide and pleading as she held out her little hands toward you.
Jake nodded behind her, trying to look equally earnest, though his mischievous smirk ruined the act. “Yeah, we need another story. Just one more”.
Sam let out a low snort, leaning against the doorway with his arms crossed. “I’ll say it again—you guys have your hands full”.
Dean groaned, running a hand over his face, though you could see the small, fond smile tugging at his lips. “You two are the worst negotiators ever”, he said, though there was no real heat in his tone. “Didn’t we read you a story already?”.
Ellie nodded solemnly. “But it wasn’t enough”, she said, her little voice trembling like she was delivering the most heartbreaking news. “I can’t sleep”.
Ellie had been having trouble sleeping the past few nights, and it didn’t take much to see the shadows of her recent restlessness in the way she clung to you now. Jake, you suspected, was just along for the ride, but Ellie’s unease was genuine.
You knelt down and gently scooped Ellie up, settling her on your hip with ease. She wrapped her little arms around your neck and rested her head against your shoulder, her well-loved bunny clutched tightly in one hand. She was already five, and you knew these moments wouldn’t last forever. Soon enough, she’d be too big to carry like this, but for now, you held her close, savoring her warmth and the soft scent of her shampoo.
“It’s okay, baby”, you murmured, running a hand soothingly over her back. “Mommy’s got you”.
Ellie sighed, her tiny body relaxing against yours. “I don’t wanna have bad dreams”, she whispered, her voice trembling.
Dean’s teasing expression softened instantly, and he stepped closer, brushing a stray strand of hair out of Ellie’s face. “No bad dreams tonight, kiddo”, he said gently. “You’re safe here. Nothing’s getting past me and your mom, okay?”.
Ellie nodded but didn’t lift her head, snuggling further into your shoulder. You kissed the top of her head and glanced at Jake, who stood nearby with his hands stuffed into the pockets of his pajama pants, looking both sheepish and protective.
“And you, mister”, you said, giving Jake a soft smile, “are you here to keep your sister company?”.
Jake shrugged, his little smirk reappearing. “She doesn’t like being alone”, he admitted. “And I didn’t want her to cry”.
Dean chuckled, ruffling Jake’s hair. “Good man”, he said. “But you’re still going back to bed after this story”.
Jake rolled his eyes but didn’t argue, his smirk growing as he stepped closer to rest his hand on your arm, as if to reassure Ellie without saying anything.
Sam, who had been leaning silently against the doorway, let out a soft laugh and shook his head. “You’re raising a couple of night owls, you know that?”.
Dean shot him a mock glare. “Yeah, thanks for the observation, Mr. Perfect-Kid. You can go back to your room now”.
“Gladly”, Sam replied with a smirk, pushing off the doorway. “Good luck with bedtime round two. Merry Christmas”.
“Merry Christmas, Uncle Sam”, Jake called after him, earning another chuckle from Sam as he disappeared down the hallway.
With Sam gone, Dean turned his attention back to you and the kids. He reached out and gently took Ellie from your arms, shifting her easily onto his hip as if she weighed nothing. She yawned and leaned her head against his shoulder, her bunny dangling from her fingers.
“Alright”, Dean said, his voice soft but firm. “One more story. But that’s it. No excuses this time. Deal?”.
Ellie nodded, her fingers clutching the collar of Dean’s flannel. “Deal”, she mumbled.
Jake gave a little salute, his smirk still intact. “Deal”.
Dean shot you a knowing look, his lips twitching in a half-smile. “You coming, or do I have to tell this story solo?”.
“I’m coming”, you said, laughing softly as you followed them back to the kids’ room. Jake scampered ahead, already climbing into his bed and pulling the covers up to his chin. Dean sat down on the edge of Ellie’s bed, still holding her as she blinked sleepily up at him.
“What story tonight?”, Dean asked, his voice quieter now.
Ellie mumbled something about heroes again, her words barely audible, and Jake chimed in with, “And monsters! But the good guys win, like always”.
Dean smirked, glancing at you as you settled into the chair beside Ellie’s bed. “Heroes and monsters, huh? You kids are gonna grow up thinking hunting is some kind of fairy tale”.
“Not fairy tales”, Jake corrected, his grin wide. “Adventures”.
Dean chuckled, shaking his head. “Alright, adventures it is”. He adjusted Ellie in his lap, holding her close as he launched into one of his and Sam’s hunts—toned down, of course, with a few embellishments to make it sound like a grand, thrilling tale.
Ellie’s eyes grew heavier with every word, and Jake, though fighting it, began to yawn halfway through the story. By the time Dean finished, Ellie was fast asleep, her bunny tucked under her chin, and Jake was dozing, his head resting on his pillow.
Dean carefully laid Ellie down and pulled the blanket up around her, tucking her in snugly before standing. You leaned over to press a kiss to Jake’s forehead, smoothing his hair back gently.
The next morning, you stirred slightly, still wrapped in the warmth of the bed and the familiar weight of Dean’s arm draped across your waist. You were half-asleep, lost in the haze of early morning, when you felt the soft brush of lips against your cheek.
Dean was awake.
His kisses started gentle, barely brushing against your skin, before growing more deliberate. His lips moved from your cheek to your jawline, lingering there for a moment, warm and lazy. His scruff tickled slightly as his mouth trailed down to the curve of your neck. A soft, open-mouthed kiss followed, the heat of his breath sending a shiver down your spine.
“Morning”, he murmured against your skin, his voice rough with sleep.
You made a small sound in response, still too drowsy to form words. Dean chuckled softly, the deep rumble vibrating through his chest as his hand began to move, sliding slowly down from your waist to the hem of the shirt you were wearing—his old, worn AC/DC shirt that barely grazed mid-thigh.
His fingers brushed against the fabric lightly, teasingly, before slipping just underneath, grazing your bare skin. His touch was warm, deliberate, and achingly slow as his hand traveled along your hip.
“Dean…”, you mumbled, your voice still groggy but laced with amusement and warmth.
“Hm?”, he replied, his lips pressing another lazy kiss just below your ear. “Kids are still asleep. We’ve got time”.
You smiled faintly, your eyes still closed as you leaned into his touch. “Barely. They’ll be up in an hour”.
“An hour’s plenty”, he murmured, his hand sliding further under the shirt as his lips found your neck again, kissing a little more firmly this time. His thumb traced gentle circles against your hip, the touch soothing and tantalizing all at once.
You turned your head slightly, your nose brushing against his. “You’re really risking it, Winchester”.
Dean grinned, his mouth brushing yours in a kiss that was as playful as it was intimate. “Worth the risk”, he said, his voice low and teasing. “Besides, it’s Christmas. Can’t I wake my wife up with a little holiday cheer?”.
You couldn’t help but laugh softly, finally opening your eyes to see his face inches from yours. His green eyes sparkled with that familiar mischievous glint, his smile equal parts boyish charm and devilish intent.
“You’re impossible”, you said, your voice carrying no real conviction as you reached up to tangle your fingers in his hair.
“And yet”, he replied, his grin widening as his hand skimmed up your thigh, “you love me anyway”.
“Lucky for you”, you teased, pulling him down into a kiss.
Dean’s smirk deepened as he shifted himself between your legs, the soft fabric of his sweatpants already discarded on the floor. His movements were unhurried, his hands warm and steady as they slid along your thighs, gently spreading them apart. The teasing, deliberate way he pulled your panties aside made your breath hitch, his knuckles grazing your skin as he moved.
He leaned down, his forehead brushing yours, his lips hovering just a breath away as he locked eyes with you. His green eyes gleamed with a mix of mischief and tenderness, the corners crinkling slightly as he grinned.
“Attempt number three for baby number three?”, he murmured, his voice low and teasing. His swollen tip brushed against your folds, the sensation sending a shiver through your body. He paused, grinning even wider as he added, “Or should I just wrap myself up? Merry Christmas and all”.
You snorted softly, shaking your head against the pillow. "You're ridiculous", you mumbled, your voice still thick with sleep, but the corner of your lips twitched in amusement.
Dean's grin didn’t falter. If anything, it grew wider. He nudged against you with his tip, teasingly brushing against your folds, just enough to make your breath hitch. His hands rested firmly on your thighs, his thumbs brushing against your skin in slow, lazy circles.
"You better answer", he murmured, his voice low and thick with that familiar playful edge, "or I’ll decide for myself". He dipped his head, his lips brushing the sensitive spot just below your ear. "And as you know", he added, his voice dropping to a husky whisper, "I hate being wrapped up".
A soft laugh bubbled from your lips, your hands sliding to his shoulders as you looked up at him, your gaze warm despite the teasing frustration in your tone. "Oh, poor you", you said, your fingers curling slightly against his skin. "Such a hardship".
Dean chuckled, his lips grazing your collarbone as he pressed closer, his weight settling against you in that perfect, familiar way. "Yeah, it is", he muttered, his tone mock-serious. He nudged against you again, this time with a bit more pressure, his breath hitching slightly as he felt you respond.
"Dean", you whispered, your voice soft but filled with equal parts exasperation and affection.
He rested his forehead against yours, his voice softer now as he murmured, "So, what’s it gonna be? Option one or option two?".
You sighed dramatically, though the smile tugging at your lips gave you away. "Fine", you said, your hands sliding to rest on his lower back. "Let’s try for number three".
Dean’s grin widened, and he pressed another kiss to your lips, this one filled with both triumph and affection. "That’s my girl".
Dean’s grin softened as he aligned himself, his eyes locked on yours, searching your face as if committing every detail to memory. Slowly, deliberately, he pressed forward, his swollen tip parting you with a gentle ease. His movements were unhurried, savoring the moment as he sunk deeper, a quiet grunt escaping his lips.
His forehead rested against yours, his breaths mingling with yours, warm and steady. He paused for a moment, giving you time to adjust, his hand sliding up your thigh to rest on your hip, his thumb brushing tender circles against your skin. Then, his lips found yours again, capturing them in a kiss that was both soft and consuming, filled with a love that ran deeper than words.
Your hands moved to his back, your fingers curling against his warm skin as he began to move, his hips rocking in a slow, deliberate rhythm. His quiet groans mixed with your soft gasps, the two of you melting into each other in the quiet stillness of the morning. His lips stayed on yours, sometimes breaking away to trail kisses along your jaw or murmur your name in that low, gravelly voice that always made your heart flutter.
Dean’s hand slid from your hip to lace his fingers with yours, pinning your hand gently beside your head as his pace remained slow and steady. He kissed you again, his lips lingering this time, his breath catching slightly as he pressed deeper, his movements careful yet filled with passion.
Dean’s movements were deliberate, his hips rocking against you with a rhythm that was uniquely his—something so unhurried yet devastatingly precise. It wasn’t rushed or frantic; it was intimate, passionate, and filled with a kind of love and care that only Dean could give. Each thrust was measured, purposeful, his body moving with yours as though the two of you had been perfectly designed to fit together.
You felt his breath against your skin, warm and steady, as his lips traced a path along your jawline and down your neck. His low groans vibrated against your skin, sending waves of warmth coursing through you. He tilted his hips slightly, the angle changing just enough to send sparks of pleasure radiating from your core. Dean’s name fell from your lips in a breathless gasp, and his mouth curved into a grin against your neck.
“Right there, huh?”, he murmured, his voice husky and low, as his movements became more deliberate. He hit that perfect spot again, and your back arched off the bed, your hands gripping his shoulders tightly. It was maddening how he could find it every time, how he knew your body so intimately after all these years.
Dean pulled back just enough to look at you, his green eyes blazing with intensity as he watched your reactions. “You’re so beautiful like this”, he whispered, his lips brushing yours. “Every time. Always”.
The way he said it, the raw honesty in his voice, made your chest tighten with emotion even as the pleasure built inside you, overwhelming and all-consuming. Your legs tightened around him instinctively, pulling him deeper, and he let out a quiet groan, his forehead pressing to yours as his hips rocked against you with just a little more force.
Dean’s grin widened, a flicker of pride flashing in his eyes as he felt your body respond to him, just like it always did. He knew exactly what he was doing, and his ego absolutely thrived on it. He never rushed, never stumbled—his confidence in how to handle you was unshakable, and it was maddeningly effective. He knew how to make you come, how to unravel you completely, and for him, it was almost too easy.
His hips pressed deeper, rolling against yours with deliberate precision, each thrust brushing that perfect spot inside you that had your breath catching and your nails digging into his shoulders. Dean’s quiet groans mixed with the soft sounds escaping your lips, and he couldn’t help the smirk that tugged at his mouth.
“Look at you”, he murmured, his voice thick with a mix of teasing and reverence. “Already so close, aren’t you? Always so easy for me”. His words weren’t taunting—they were filled with a heady mix of love and cocky pride, the kind only Dean could pull off.
You wanted to roll your eyes at him, to come up with some smart remark, but all that came out was a broken gasp as his hips shifted slightly, hitting you even deeper. He chuckled softly, his lips trailing along your neck, leaving warm kisses in his wake.
“That’s right”, he whispered, his hand sliding up to cup your cheek as he kissed you deeply, swallowing the sounds you made. “Let go for me, sweetheart. I’ve got you”.
It wasn’t just his words or his touch—it was the way he looked at you, his green eyes locked on yours as though you were the only thing that existed in the world. It was the way he moved, deliberate and passionate, completely focused on you. It was everything about him, all at once, that pushed you over the edge.
Your body tightened around him, a cry escaping your lips as the orgasm crashed over you, leaving you breathless and trembling.
Dean’s hips stuttered slightly as as he worked you through it. His breathing grew heavier, his quiet groans vibrating against your skin as he buried his face in the crook of your neck. He pressed deeper, his rhythm faltering as he gave in, a low, guttural sound escaping him as he spilled inside you.
The tension in his body melted away as he stilled, his forehead resting against your shoulder. His chest heaved against yours, his warm breath tickling your skin as he whispered your name, almost reverently. He stayed like that for a moment, his weight comforting and grounding, his hand lazily brushing along your side.
Slowly, he lifted his head, his green eyes soft as they found yours. His lips curved into a tired but satisfied grin, the kind that was uniquely Dean—equal parts smug and adoring.
“Now that”, he said, his voice still rough with lingering passion, “was a hell of a way to start Christmas”.
You couldn’t help the breathless laugh that bubbled up, your hands sliding to rest against his shoulders. “And here I thought the kids opening presents was supposed to be the highlight of the day”.
Dean smirked, pressing a soft kiss to your lips, this one slow and sweet, a stark contrast to the fire from moments before. “They can wait”, he murmured against your mouth, his hand brushing a strand of hair from your face. “This is my highlight”.
You rolled your eyes, but the warmth in your chest was undeniable. “You’re impossible, Winchester”.
“And yet”, he teased, grinning as he kissed you again, “you still married me”.
The two of you were still tangled in the quiet aftermath, basking in the warmth of each other, when the sound of Sam’s frustrated voice carried down the hallway.
“Ellie! Jake!”, Sam’s tone was exasperated, yet with that trademark calmness he always managed to maintain, even in chaos. “How many times do I have to tell you—stop hiding my toothbrush!”.
Dean groaned, dropping his head back against the pillow with a dramatic sigh. “And there goes the peace”, he muttered, though his smirk said he wasn’t entirely annoyed.
You stifled a laugh, pressing your hand over your mouth as Sam’s voice grew closer, clearly still trying to track down the culprits. “What do you think the odds are that they’ll deny it this time?”, you asked, raising an amused eyebrow.
Dean chuckled, sitting up slightly to rest on his elbows. “Oh, they’ll deny it. And then Jake’ll throw Ellie under the bus”.
Before you could reply, another voice joined the commotion in the hallway—Caleb’s, Sam’s ten-year-old son. “Dad!”, Caleb called, his tone half-annoyed, half-panicked. “I can’t find my toothbrush either! Did they take mine too?”.
Dean let out a full laugh now, shaking his head as he glanced over at you. “Well, guess we know what they’ve been up to”.
You snorted, sliding out from under the blanket and reaching for the nearest shirt—still Dean’s, of course. “Should we intervene, or let Sam handle it?”.
Dean leaned back lazily, folding his arms behind his head, his smirk wide. “Let him handle it. He’s got this”.
The sound of Ellie and Jake’s giggling reached your ears next, along with Sam’s resigned sigh. “Guys, this is the third time this week. I need my toothbrush. And Caleb needs his, too. Just tell me where you hid them”.
Ellie’s voice piped up, cheerful and completely unrepentant. “We didn’t hide it, Uncle Sam! Maybe the monsters took it”.
Dean swung his legs over the side of the bed, reaching for his sweatpants as he grinned at you. “Guess I should go rescue Sammy before he loses it completely”.
You laughed, grabbing his arm before he could get up. “You’ll just make it worse, and you know it”.
“Exactly”, Dean said, his grin widening. “What’s Christmas without a little chaos?”.
You rolled your eyes, but you couldn’t stop smiling as the sound of the kids’ laughter and Sam’s exasperated attempts to rein them in filled the bunker. It was chaotic, sure, but it was also home.
Dean swung the bedroom door open, stepping out into the hallway wearing nothing but his sweatpants. His hair was a mess, sticking up in all directions, and his smirk was firmly in place as he leaned against the doorframe. His bare chest caught the dim light of the bunker, and his presence immediately drew the attention of everyone in the hallway.
Sam stood there, arms crossed, his expression a mix of exasperation and long-suffering patience. Ellie and Jake were huddled together just a few feet away, their faces plastered with matching innocent grins that Dean could see through in an instant. Caleb, already taller and more composed than most ten-year-olds, stood off to the side with his hands on his hips, looking equally annoyed and amused.
Dean raised an eyebrow, his smirk widening as his eyes landed on his twins. “Alright”, he drawled, his voice still rough from sleep. “Who’s messing with Uncle Sammy’s toothbrush this time?”.
Ellie giggled, clutching her bunny closer to her chest as she tried to look innocent. “Not me!”, she chirped, her tone far too cheerful to be convincing.
Jake, true to Dean’s earlier prediction, pointed at Ellie without hesitation. “She did it!”, he declared, his voice a little too eager. “I told her not to, but she wouldn’t listen”.
“Jake!”, Ellie squeaked, her eyes wide with mock betrayal. “That’s not true!”.
Dean sighted, running a hand through his messy hair as he stepped closer.
Jake pouted, crossing his arms. “I didn’t do it! It was her idea this time!”.
Caleb groaned, clearly fed up with the entire situation. “I just want my toothbrush back”, he muttered, looking at his cousins with a raised eyebrow. “You can’t keep stealing them!”.
Sam shot Dean a pointed look, his expression screaming control your kids. Dean just grinned back, completely unfazed. “Alright, alright”, he said, holding up his hands. “Let’s cut a deal. You two”, he pointed at Ellie and Jake, “tell Uncle Sam and Caleb where the toothbrushes are, and maybe Santa doesn’t hear about this little stunt”.
Ellie’s eyes widened, and she clutched her bunny even tighter. “You wouldn’t tell Santa!”, she gasped, her voice full of dramatic disbelief.
Jake’s resolve faltered, and he glanced at Ellie before mumbling, “Fine. They’re in the cereal box”.
Sam blinked, his arms dropping to his sides. “The cereal box?”.
Dean laughed, shaking his head as he clapped Sam on the shoulder. “Gotta hand it to ‘em, Sammy. That’s creative”.
Sam just sighed, muttering something under his breath as he turned toward the kitchen. Caleb followed after him, shaking his head as he glanced back at his cousins. “You guys are so weird”, he said, though his tone was more amused than annoyed.
Dean crouched down to the twins’ level, his smirk softening into something more affectionate. “Alright, you two”, he said, his voice quieter. “What’s the deal with the toothbrush thing, huh? You trying to drive Uncle Sam crazy?”.
Ellie looked down at her bunny, her lower lip jutting out in a pout. “We were just playing”, she mumbled. “It was funny”.
Dean sighed, reaching out to ruffle her hair. “Yeah, it’s funny until Uncle Sam loses it and makes you scrub the bathroom for a week. You wanna deal with that?”.
Jake shook his head quickly, his eyes wide. “No”.
“Good”, Dean said, standing up and crossing his arms. “Now, go help him find them. And no more hiding stuff, got it?”.
“Yes, Daddy”, they chorused, their voices small but sincere.
Dean watched as they scampered off toward the kitchen, and he couldn’t help the small smile tugging at his lips. Turning back toward the bedroom, he caught your amused expression.
Dean’s grin widened when he saw you leaning against the doorframe, your messy hair and his AC/DC shirt hanging loosely on your frame. He gave you a once-over, then nodded toward the bathroom with a suggestive lift of his eyebrows.
“Wanna take a shower?”, he asked, his voice low and teasing, though the mischievous twinkle in his eye made it clear he wasn’t just talking about getting clean.
You were about to reply when Sam’s voice cut in sharply. “Nope. No way. You two aren’t disappearing on me right now”.
Dean turned slowly, raising an eyebrow as he looked over his shoulder at Sam, who was standing there with Caleb and the twins, all three kids looking suspiciously close to starting another round of chaos.
“Come on, Sammy”, Dean said, his voice dripping with mock indignation. “You can handle breakfast for twenty minutes”.
Sam’s eyes narrowed. “Oh, sure. Because last time I ‘handled breakfast’, I had to explain to Caleb why Jake thought peanut butter went on the stove, and Ellie was using syrup as hair gel”.
Dean snorted, turning fully to face his brother. “You’re telling me you can face down demons and angels, but you can’t manage two five-year-olds and a ten-year-old for twenty minutes?”.
Sam opened his mouth, clearly ready to argue, but Dean held up a hand, his expression turning serious—or as serious as he could manage with his sweatpants slung low on his hips and his hair still sticking up.
“Sam”, Dean said, his tone low and firm, “it’s Christmas. Give us a break. Twenty minutes. That’s all I’m asking”.
Sam sighed heavily, pinching the bridge of his nose before glaring at Dean. “Fine. But if I find syrup anywhere it doesn’t belong—”.
“You won’t”, Dean said quickly, his grin returning. “They’re angels”.
Sam muttered something under his breath that sounded suspiciously like yeah, right before shooing the kids back toward the kitchen. “Alright, come on, you three. Let’s see if we can make pancakes without burning the bunker down”.
Ellie and Jake cheered, bounding after him with Caleb trailing behind, looking both amused and resigned.
As soon as they disappeared, Dean turned back to you, his grin now entirely unrestrained. “See? Twenty minutes. Plenty of time”.
You raised an eyebrow, crossing your arms. “And what exactly are we doing in these twenty minutes?”.
Dean stepped closer, his hands sliding around your waist as he pulled you flush against him. “You agreed to the shower”, he said, his voice dropping into that low, gravelly tone that made your knees weak. “I’m just making sure you don’t back out”.
You rolled your eyes but couldn’t hide your smile as he leaned down to kiss you, slow and lingering. “Alright”, you said against his lips. “Twenty minutes”.
Dean smirked, pulling you toward the bathroom. “You know I can work with that”.
Behind you, the faint sound of Sam’s exasperated voice carried from the kitchen, followed by Ellie’s laughter and Jake’s declaration that syrup was “just fancy hair gel”.
Dean chuckled, shaking his head as he closed the bathroom door behind you. “Angels”, he repeated, his voice full of affectionate sarcasm. “Absolute angels”.
After the fourth attempt at trying for baby number three, you and Dean finally emerged from the bathroom, freshly showered and dressed, the lingering steam from the hot water clinging faintly to your skin. The scent of Dean’s cologne mixed with the cozy aroma of pancakes and syrup wafting from the kitchen. As you walked in, you couldn’t help but smile at the sight of the kids gathered around the table, the twins buzzing with excitement while Caleb calmly helped make sure everything was in place.
Ellie and Jake had already set the table with plates, forks, and napkins—though not all of them were straight, and Ellie had stacked three napkins on her plate for some reason. Caleb was pouring juice into cups with the steady precision of someone who had been here before, a slight grin on his face as Jake talked a mile a minute about all the presents under the tree.
“We set it up, Mommy!”, Ellie exclaimed proudly, holding her bunny in one hand as she gestured at the slightly messy table with the other. “Is it good?”.
“It’s perfect”, you said warmly, walking over to ruffle her hair before noticing her sleeves. “But let’s get these up, okay? Don’t want syrup all over your jammies”.
Ellie giggled as you gently rolled up the sleeves of her favorite snowflake-patterned pajamas. Just as you finished, Dean’s phone buzzed on the counter, the screen lighting up with a familiar name.
Dean grabbed it, smirking as he saw Jodie’s name flashing. “Looks like the cavalry’s here”, he muttered before answering. “Hey, Jodie. Merry Christmas”.
Before he could get another word in, Caleb bolted toward the door, shouting, “Auntie Jodie! Auntie Jodie’s here!”.
Dean shook his head, grinning as he hung up the phone. “Guess I didn’t need to answer after all”.
You chuckled as Caleb yanked open the heavy bunker door, his voice echoing through the hallway.
Sure enough, standing just outside in the frosty morning air was Jodie, her two girls—Claire and Alex—beside her, all bundled up against the cold. Donna stood to the side, her signature bright smile lighting up the moment, while Castiel and Jack stood behind them, looking equally festive despite Cas’s usual stoicism. In Jodie and Donna’s hands were several large bags, overflowing with brightly wrapped Christmas presents.
“About time you let us in!”, Jodie teased, stepping forward as Caleb flung his arms around her waist.
Donna laughed, hefting the bags higher. “We were starting to think you guys were still asleep!”.
Jack grinned, his enthusiasm bubbling over as he hugged Caleb. “Merry Christmas!”, he exclaimed, his eyes darting to the twins, who were already bouncing in place at the sight of all the presents. “We brought a lot of stuff!”.
“I can see that”, you said with a laugh, helping Donna with one of her bags. “Did you guys empty the store or what?”.
“Oh, you know”, Jodie said, her tone casual but her smile warm. “Just a little something for everyone”.
Claire rolled her eyes but smiled as she set her bag down by the tree. “You mean a lot of something for everyone”.
As everyone settled into the kitchen, the sounds of laughter, conversation, and clinking plates filled the bunker, the space alive with the kind of warmth that only came from being surrounded by family—both the one you were born into and the one you chose.
An hour later, the bunker’s usually stoic and cold atmosphere had transformed into a scene of warmth and chaos around the glowing Christmas tree. Wrapping paper and ribbons were scattered across the floor, the remnants of enthusiastic unwrapping now forgotten as everyone enjoyed their new gifts. The soft twinkle of lights illuminated the room, casting a warm glow on the smiling faces around you.
Jake sat in your lap on the floor, completely engrossed in his new dinosaur toy, his small hands moving it around as he made roaring noises. You leaned back against Dean, his arms wrapped snugly around your waist, his warmth anchoring you in the midst of the joyful commotion.
Ellie was sprawled on the floor nearby, her bunny nestled by her side as she played with a doll Jodie had brought her, already inventing an elaborate story involving an adventure in a magical forest. Caleb sat beside her, tinkering with a new model kit, his focus intense as he explained the mechanics to Jack, who listened with wide-eyed curiosity.
Dean’s hand rested lightly on your knee, his thumb brushing against your leg absentmindedly as he surveyed the scene. “Look at ‘em”, he murmured, his voice soft and full of pride. “Like a bunch of happy little squirrels”.
You laughed quietly, leaning your head back against his shoulder. “It’s chaos, but the good kind”.
He kissed your temple, his scruff brushing against your skin. “Yeah. This is the kinda chaos I could get used to”.
Across the room, Jodie and Donna were sitting on the couch, laughing together as they admired their gifts. Donna held up a fuzzy scarf that Claire had picked out for her, wrapping it dramatically around her neck as she struck a pose. “How do I look?”, she asked, grinning.
“Like a movie star”, Jodie teased, shaking her head. “A really dramatic one”.
Claire rolled her eyes from her spot on the floor, but a small smile tugged at her lips as Alex nudged her playfully. Castiel, ever the observer, sat quietly in a chair, his gaze fixed on the tree as if he were contemplating the deeper meaning of its existence.
Jack was perched on the edge of the couch, his face lit with excitement as he examined a book Jodie had given him on Earth’s natural wonders. “Did you know there’s a lake that glows in the dark?”, he asked Caleb, his voice filled with awe.
Caleb nodded, still focused on his kit. “Yeah, bioluminescence. It’s pretty cool”.
Dean chuckled softly, his chest rumbling against your back. “Leave it to Jack and Caleb to turn Christmas into a science lesson”.
Jake, oblivious to the conversation, looked up at you suddenly, his dinosaur still clutched in his hands. “Mommy, look! He can roar like this!”, He made a loud, exaggerated roar, his face scrunched up in concentration.
You grinned, smoothing his messy hair as you played along. “Wow, that’s a scary roar!".
"I think he might be the loudest dinosaur in the whole bunker”, Jack said.
Dean smirked, leaning forward slightly to ruffle Jake’s hair. “I dunno, kid. I think your Uncle Sammy might give him a run for his money”.
Sam, who was sitting cross-legged nearby and flipping through a new book, glanced up with a raised eyebrow. “I heard that”.
Dean winked, clearly unapologetic. “Yeah, you did”.
The laughter and chatter carried on, the room filled with the unmistakable sound of family—messy, chaotic, but completely full of love. You glanced around at everyone, your heart swelling as you took in the scene. This was what Christmas was supposed to feel like.
Dean’s arms tightened around you slightly, and when you looked up at him, his green eyes were soft and content as they met yours. “This is a pretty damn good Christmas, huh?”, he said, his voice low so only you could hear.
You smiled, resting your hand over his. “Yeah, it really is”.
He pressed a kiss to the top of your head, holding you a little closer. “And it’s not over yet”, he said with a grin. “Still gotta watch the twins try to eat their body weight in cookies”.
You laughed, closing your eyes briefly as you leaned into him.
Ellie and Jake suddenly stood up, exchanging exaggerated whispers that had everyone turning to watch them curiously. Jake glanced back toward the couch, giving Ellie a quick nod before the two of them ducked behind it, giggling quietly as they rummaged for something.
“What are they up to now?”, Dean muttered, raising an eyebrow but smiling fondly. His arm tightened around your waist, keeping you close as he watched his kids with amusement.
Moments later, the twins emerged triumphantly, holding a small, brightly colored bag. It was obvious they’d been saving this for the right moment, and their matching grins could barely contain their excitement. Without a word, they turned and marched straight toward Castiel, who was still seated near the Christmas tree, quietly observing the scene.
Cas tilted his head slightly as the twins approached, his usual stoic expression giving way to curiosity. The twins stopped in front of him, their smiles widening as they held the bag out together.
“Merry Christmas, Uncle Cas!”, Ellie declared, her voice bright and filled with excitement.
“Yeah! Merry Christmas!”, Jake chimed in, bouncing slightly on his toes.
Castiel blinked, his piercing blue eyes moving from the twins to the bag, then back to the twins. “This is for me?”, he asked, his tone laced with genuine surprise, as if the thought of receiving a gift hadn’t even crossed his mind.
“Of course!”, Ellie said, nudging the bag closer to him. “You’re our favorite uncle!”.
Jake nodded eagerly, adding, “Yeah, you’re funny. Like, the way you talk and stuff. It’s, like… cool”.
Dean let out a quiet chuckle behind you, muttering, “Well, that’s one way to put it”.
Cas’s head tilted even further, his expression unreadable for a moment as he processed their words. Then, slowly, a small, genuine smile appeared on his face—the kind of rare, warm smile that made everyone in the room stop for a second.
“Thank you”, Cas said, his voice soft and sincere. He took the bag carefully, as though it were something fragile and precious. “I… appreciate this gesture. Merry Christmas to you both”.
Ellie and Jake beamed, clearly proud of themselves. They stepped back, watching eagerly as Cas opened the bag. Inside, he found a small, hand-painted ornament—a slightly crooked angel with golden wings and a blue trench coat, its expression remarkably serious.
Cas held up the ornament, studying it with that same intense focus he brought to everything. “It’s you, Uncle Cas!”, Ellie explained, bouncing on her toes. “We made it! Well, Mommy helped a little”.
Jake nodded. “Yeah, it’s your coat and your serious face! You can hang it on the tree!”.
Cas stared at the ornament for a long moment, his lips twitching as though he were trying to understand why the kids had chosen him for such a tribute. “It’s… accurate”, he said finally, his voice thoughtful.
The room burst into laughter, even Sam cracking a rare grin as Donna doubled over with a wheezing chuckle. “Oh, Cas”, she said, wiping tears of laughter from her eyes. “Never change”.
Cas looked up at Ellie and Jake, who were grinning from ear to ear. His expression softened, and he nodded solemnly. “Thank you. I will treasure this”.
Ellie and Jake’s smiles widened, and they darted forward to hug him, surprising the stoic angel. He hesitated for only a moment before carefully placing the ornament back in the bag and returning their hugs, his movements slightly stiff but no less genuine.
Dean leaned over to you, his grin wide and teasing. “They’re right, you know. Cas is basically a cat in human form. Aloof most of the time, but when he decides he likes you, you’re stuck with him”.
You laughed softly, resting your head against his shoulder. “They adore him. It’s kind of perfect”.
“Merry Christmas, Cas”, Dean said, his voice soft but full of warmth.
Castiel’s blue eyes shifted to Dean, his face as calm and serious as ever, though his words carried the weight of a casually dropped bombshell. “Merry Christmas, Dean”, he said, before adding, in the same matter-of-fact tone, “Oh, and congratulations on child number three”.
The room went silent.
Ellie and Jake paused mid-conversation, their heads whipping around to look at you and Dean with matching expressions of surprise and curiosity. Jodie’s mug of coffee froze halfway to her lips, her brows shooting up. Donna’s jaw dropped, and even Claire stopped fiddling with the wrapper of a chocolate Santa.
Dean, for his part, blinked at Cas, his arms tightening around you instinctively as his brain worked to catch up. “I’m sorry, what?”, he finally managed, his voice cracking slightly.
Cas tilted his head, his expression neutral, as though he were oblivious to the bombshell he’d just dropped. “The child you conceived this morning”, he said patiently, as if clarifying something simple. “It will grow strong and healthy. Congratulations”.
Your mouth opened, but no sound came out. You turned to Dean, who was now gaping at Cas like the angel had sprouted a second head. “Cas”, Dean finally said, his voice strained. “Are you… are you serious right now?”.
Cas nodded solemnly. “Of course. I wouldn’t joke about something so significant”.
Donna choked on her coffee, sputtering as she tried to recover. “Uh, am I hearing this right?”, she asked, looking between you and Dean. “Is this, like, angel-level baby news?”.
Jodie covered her mouth with her hand, clearly trying not to laugh as her eyes sparkled with amusement. “Oh, this is gonna be good”.
Dean’s eyes darted to the twins, who were staring at you both with wide eyes. “Wait a minute—Ellie, Jake, uh… you guys don’t even know what Cas is talking about, right?”, he asked, suddenly looking panicked.
Ellie tilted her head, her little brows furrowing. “Does it mean we’re getting a baby for Christmas?”.
Jake gasped, his excitement palpable. “Like a baby brother?".
Dean groaned, scrubbing a hand down his face as he muttered, “Oh, for the love of—Cas, you couldn’t have said this later?”.
“I thought you’d like to know”, Cas said simply, looking genuinely confused by the commotion. “It’s joyous news, isn’t it?”.
You finally managed to speak, your cheeks flushed and your voice a little shaky. “Cas”, you said, holding up a hand, “you… you’re saying it worked?”.
“Yes”, Cas replied with a small nod. “The energy surrounding you both was unmistakable”.
Jodie finally let out a laugh, shaking her head. “Well, congrats, you two”, she said, her tone warm but teasing. “I guess we know what you were doing this morning”.
Dean groaned again, burying his face against your shoulder.
Sam threw his head back dramatically, letting out a long, exaggerated groan before turning toward Caleb, who was still sitting on the floor with a model kit in his hands. “Caleb”, Sam said, his voice filled with mock desperation, “we need backup”.
Dean’s hand rested protectively on your belly, his fingers splayed across the fabric of your shirt as though it were the most natural place for them to be. He didn’t even seem to realize it, his focus entirely on teasing Sam as the room buzzed with laughter. But you felt the warmth of his touch, grounding and comforting, and it sent a wave of emotion through you.
As you watched him, you couldn’t help but remember how he had been six years ago when you were pregnant with Ellie and Jake. Back then, Dean’s protectiveness had been a force of nature. He had insisted on doing almost everything for you—cooking, carrying anything remotely heavy, even trying (and failing) to assemble the crib himself without asking Sam for help. He’d hovered over you like a mother hen, always checking if you needed anything, always making sure you were comfortable and safe.
You smiled to yourself at the memory of him sneaking out in the middle of the night to get you a very specific brand of ice cream because you’d mentioned craving it once. Or how he’d built up an entire arsenal of baby books, even if he claimed he didn’t need them because “it’s instinct, babe”.
And now, seeing him so casually yet instinctively protective, even before you were showing or feeling the full weight of the pregnancy, reminded you just how much Dean cared—how deeply he loved his family.
“Sammy”, Dean drawled, grinning as he gestured toward the twins, who were still buzzing with excitement. “You’re just jealous because my kids already have a battle plan for world domination, and you can barely get Caleb to do the dishes”.
Caleb smirked from his spot on the floor, holding up his hands. “Hey, I do the dishes. Sometimes”.
“See?”, Dean shot back, his grin widening. “Meanwhile, I’ve got a baby on the way and two kids already training to take over the family business”.
Sam groaned, rubbing his temples. “Oh, yeah, the family business. Great. You’re turning them into mini versions of you”.
“Damn straight”, Dean said, his tone proud. “Best Christmas gift ever”.
You laughed softly, resting your hand on top of Dean’s where it still lay against your stomach. The motion caught his attention, and his teasing expression softened instantly when he looked at you. His green eyes met yours, a quiet, unspoken emotion passing between you.
“You okay?”, he murmured, his voice low enough that only you could hear.
“I’m perfect”, you replied, your smile widening as you squeezed his hand. “You?”.
His lips quirked into a softer smile as he laced his fingers with yours. “Never better”.
"Merry Christmas, Dean”, you whispered, tilting your head just enough to press a soft, lingering kiss to his lips. His hand on your belly tightened slightly, and you felt him smile against your mouth before he murmured back, “Merry Christmas, sweetheart”.
Before the moment could deepen, a loud chorus of exaggerated gagging noises erupted from nearby. “Ewww!”, Jake groaned dramatically, scrunching his nose. “Gross!”.
“Disgusting!”, Ellie added, clutching her bunny to her chest as she made an exaggerated barfing sound.
Even Caleb, normally the calm and composed one, couldn’t resist joining in with a muttered, “Seriously, get a room”.
Dean pulled back from the kiss with a laugh, shaking his head as he looked at the kids, all of whom were now thoroughly invested in making the most dramatic gagging noises they could muster. His hand stayed on your belly, his thumb brushing against you in that comforting, protective way that made your heart flutter every time.
“Alright, alright”, Dean said, his smirk widening as he shot the kids a mock-stern look. “You can stop with the barf noises. We get it—you’re all scarred for life”.
Jake crossed his arms, still pouting. “I’m telling Santa about this”.
Ellie, clutching her bunny tightly, nodded with a mischievous grin. “Yeah, Santa should know what you’ve been doing”.
Dean let out a loud laugh, shaking his head. “Oh, really? You’re gonna tattle on your own parents to Santa? Good luck with that, kiddo”.
“You’re both impossible”, you added with a laugh, shaking your head as the twins dissolved into giggles, their earlier protests forgotten. Caleb just rolled his eyes and muttered something about needing earplugs next Christmas.
Jodie, sitting on the couch, leaned over to Donna with a grin. “You know, I think this might be the most entertaining Christmas we’ve had yet”.
Donna nodded, chuckling as she sipped her coffee. “Definitely. And the most chaotic”.
Castiel, who had been quietly observing the entire exchange, tilted his head slightly. “I fail to understand why the children find displays of affection so objectionable. It is a natural expression of love”.
Dean barked out another laugh, pointing at Cas. “See? Even the angel gets it”.
You shook your head with a smile, leaning back against Dean as the room filled with laughter and playful teasing. The twins went back to their toys, Caleb resumed tinkering with his model kit, and the rest of the family settled into the warm, easy rhythm of Christmas morning.
Dean leaned closer to you, his voice low so only you could hear. “Crazy, isn’t it? This life, these kids, a new baby on the way…”.
You glanced up at him, catching the quiet wonder in his green eyes. “It’s crazy,” you admitted softly, lacing your fingers with his where his hand still rested on your belly. “But it’s ours. And I wouldn’t trade it for anything”.
Dean smiled, leaning down to press a kiss to your temple. “Me neither, sweetheart. Me neither”.
As the kids’ laughter echoed through the room and the twinkling lights of the tree cast a warm glow over the bunker, you felt a profound sense of peace. This was your family—messy, chaotic, loud, and so full of love it was almost overwhelming.
And as you sat there, wrapped in Dean’s arms and surrounded by the people you cared about most, you couldn’t help but think that this was the kind of Christmas you’d always dreamed of—perfect in its imperfection, filled with laughter, love, and the promise of everything good yet to come.

Saw your tags on that binder post and I thought I’d share that my first introduction to chest binding was actually through the lolita community! A lot of big name japanese brands are not exactly size inclusive and did NOT cater to anyone with more than an A cup, so I did see quite a lot of safe binding advice and methods on blogs and forums back in the day before more inclusive brands became available, ranging from sports bra to actual proper binders. I’m probably not the only example of the “binding to fit into an angelic pretty dress” to “binding to fit into an angelic pretty dress and gender reasons)” pipeline, but plenty of other lolitas I know are still cis women who just do it on occasion or for specific pieces that aren’t very forgiving on the tits! I doubt that a single niche fashion subculture is the reason for those binders being marketed towards cis women so heavily, but I thought this was a funny anecdote :)
Fascinating!
patricia taxxon shit really fucking hurts. i dont want to be effected by a random internet microcelebrity not liking transdudes, that happens often enough. but god her music and essays got me through really rough shit and it really hurts to see someone i looked up to for well written essays and work fall back on the bullshit arguments used to deny my lived experiences. it really really fucking hurts, especially with how it feels barely anyone will talk about or call it out. i thought trfs were something id have to look hard for, and seeing their rhetoric creep into the fucking music i listen to and tumblrs i follow really truly scares me
I'm sorry, anon. I love you a lot. <3
“You shouldn’t break up the trans community into groups!” The TRFs literally came up with a way to break up the community via TMA/TME. They are actively distancing themselves from the community by baking fearmongering into their ideology. God forbid we create a term about sticking together against a group within the community that’s inherently dividing?
lmao literally
Just had my first time getting sexually harassed by a woman as a percieved cis man and commiserating afterwards with a cis man about how we're all just supposed to be cool with being treated like that. It's a weird experience and somehow going through the same things mostly from women as a girl then nonbinary then a trans guy it feels the same but the flavors change. I know the discourse is literally nothing but it makes me feel like my feelings shouldn't matter because of the male privilege. And I even did my civic duty and took the brunt of it away from the other trans man who was getting it worse because of his percieved feminine traits which people also like to pretend doesn't happen. All of it is just stupid.
It's fine, she was a woman and you're a man so that was praxis sexual harassment.
honestly i think a better predictor of how much autonomy a child is able to have over their presentation is probably whether the child is disabled moreso than agab, like i not only wasn't allowed to have my hair too short, i also wasn't allowed to have it too long for a chunk of my childhood because it took me awhile to understand how to brush my hair (because i was afraid to because i am hypersensitive to touch and my mother would always brush my hair in a way that hurt so much i would cry), and my mother would bitch and moan about how difficult i was about it (because she was hurting me and did not listen when i told her this) and so i wasn't allowed to have longer hair until i could brush it myself. ultimately the biggest factor is always the attitude of the parents though
God, so much of my shit with my mother was over my hair, it still really gets to me.
TRF is like the whole voting for face eating panthers. But it’s like TERFs are the panthers and TRFs are a cheetah, like “I’m a kind of cat too so they won’t eat my face as long as I eat faces too right?” WRONG they see you as prey, they won’t spare you because they see a fellow cat, they’ll eat your face cuz you’re not a panther!
cis women will like me if I explain to them how I'm -taxonomically- a woman
it’s insane to me that ‘it’s bad to hate someone for an uncontrollable part of their identity no matter who they are’ is a controversial take now
we've regressed
when people say ‘um ackshually i can say i want all men to die and if you tell me “men see these things and go far right because they think it’s true” then you are blaming women for men’s bad behaviour’ i just immediately assume that this person is stupid as fuck like. if a teenage boy goes online to see what feminism is about and is bombarded with ‘kill all men’ ‘all men are rapists’ etc then OBVIOUSLY he’s not gonna want to be feminist. it is really not that fucking hard to understand. people don’t wanna be in spaces that are cruel to them for an aspect of their identity that they cannot control it’s not ‘blaming women for misogynistic men’ to say that. it’s just fucking true. people are so stupid it actually pains me
unfortunately radfem juice is addictive

🎧::
Han didn't expect much after such an eventful day. It was Christmas day and Han woke up super early, just like a kid, to open all the presents, you cooked breakfast, took a nap at lunchtime, and ate lunch at like 2 pm then got ready to go to Han's parents' place for dinner and socialized for way too damn long.
When you got home Han flopped onto his bed, groaning as he tore off his clothes, leaving him in his pants. He wasn't sure where you went, just that you were in the bathroom for a while, so long so that he got worried.
"Hey babe, you good?" He sits up on the bed to call for you only to see you leaning against the door frame in Christmas lingerie. "O-Oh," his eyes widened as his lips visibly parted. His cheeks glow red as he straightens his posture on the bed, chuckling lowly. "Is this my last gift of the day? My present from Santa for being good?" He smiles as you close the door with your foot and begin to walk over to him but he can instantly tell from the way you present yourself that he gravely misread this situation.
"I'd say it's more...discipline," you smirk before adjusting your latex glove. Han laughs awkwardly as he scoots up the bed, further away from you but you quickly pin him down and he jumps. "For all the naughty things I didn't catch you doing," you explain, and Han chuckles awkwardly again.
"I've been good," he nods with those big doe eyes, pleading for mercy. You tilt your head with a cocked brow.
"Really now? Then we can go through your private laptop then," he sit on his lap and reach for his laptop to which he quickly grabs your wrist.
"Hehe...babe I don't think you'll wanna see..." he blushes but it's no use; you open his laptop and go through his search history and browsers. Hundreds of kinky porn videos and hentai loaded up his laptop. You raise an eyebrow at him as he lets the bed swallow him whole in shame. "I-I can explain," he chuckles before biting his lip. You then click on one of the videos, allowing it to play into the awkwardly quiet room.
The laptop then began moaning and begging but not in a female voice, but a male.
"Please, I'll be a good boy," the laptop cries out and you raise a brow at Han.
"I don't only watch that kind of stuff!" Han desperately explains but you click on another video. Two guys...
"It's too big!" The man cries out and Han's face burns and just as he tries to explain himself the laptop moans loudly. You pause the video.
"Ready to admit you've been a naughty boy?" You tilt your head and Han pouts slightly, nodding. You close the laptop and set it back on the nightstand. "And you agree you deserve at least a little punishment for this?" Han sighs in response.
"Fine," he pouts but on the inside, he's over the moon excited for what you're going to do to him. You get him completely undressed and make him wait on the bed as you bring over the bin of toys. You sort through to find a bottle of lube but not any regular lube, this lube creates a warm, tingly sensation when applied; Han doesn't know this though.
You squirt a little bit onto his tip before massaging it in. He leans back with a deep moan, pleasure already taking him in a deep grasp. As you massage his cock he notices the warm, tingling sensations and it's overwhelmingly pleasurable. "Baby i-is this a new kind of lube?" He asks shyly and looks up at you with doe eyes.
"Yes, it is~" You grab the lube and apply a bit more and he moans louder, his back arched and chest puffed. "Can you feel the warming effect?" You ask with a hint of mischief and he nods.
"Y-Yeah..." he tosses his head back. "'Feels good," he nods and you smile with a little smirk as you move your hand faster.
"That's good baby," you say as his moans grow harsher and your hand moves faster. His face contorted in pleasure as his balls began to tighten, but it was still too early...right? His cock began to twitch in your hand and you felt the throb of his veins against your palm.
"I-I think..." Han blushes but he knows he doesn't have to say anything for you to understand. You begin to move your palm faster and Han lets out a whine. "O-Oh god!" He reaches out mindlessly to find something to grab onto. His hand finds your skirt and he tugs on it hard. "Oh don't stop!" He cries out as his legs shake slightly.
"what would you do if I did?" You tease and he whines loudly.
"Fuck, I don't know, probably cry," He croaks out along with some stutters. You tilt your head as he continues to moan, his lips quivering slightly; perhaps that was a sight you wanted to see. Jisungie sobbing so prettily below you. Your hand subconciously slows as you imagine how fucked up you could make him. "No god, please no!" He cries out but it's already too late, his climax already washing away as your hands lose contact with his body.
Han tosses his head back with a sound that's a mix between a groan and a sigh. He pouts softly as he stares up at the ceiling, his cock still twitching every now and then. "Why'd you stop?" He whines, silently pleading for you to resume the torture.
"You'll see," You smirk and a chill runs down his spine. You stand up and retrieve some restraints; it's ironic because Han bought them to use on you but he seem to always be the one tied up in the silky ropes of pleasure. Han whines as he sees you bring out his arch nemesis, however he doesn't resist; at this point he knows better than to protest his mistress.
You get hans wrists tied up to the headboard of the bed and he's already a squirming, whining mess. It seems that even after all the nights he's been chained, cuffed and tied he still can't keep still. Han bucks his hips up against nothing, pleading you to give him some attention.
"Please touch me baby, please I'll do anything right now," He looks up at you with that look. The look of raw desperation and weakness, he is completely under your spell.
"Is that so? Then say it," You lean closer to him, your body hovering over him, ghosting over his skin.
"S-Say what?" He looks distraught as he pulls himself closer to you.
"you know exactly what," You smirk and a realization dawns upon him.
"Please mommy, I'll be good, I promise," He pleads helplessly, his voice cracking which makes him blush. "Use me, hurt me, fuck me I don't care just make me cum," He looks up at you with those eyes again, as if he were trying to communicate through his eyes, begging for you. You think for a moment; he just gave you a lot of ideas didn't he? Fuck him? That sounds fun but you did that like last week. Hurt him? Nah he's too sooky for that right now. Then perhaps...use him?
"Alright, since you asked so nicely," You smile and he grins wide. You then lean down before abruptly sucking him into your mouth. His whole body jerks forward, pulling on the restraints.
"Fuck! W-Why do you always do that?" He whines, his bottom lip jutting out unintentionally.
You start by just sucking his tip but quickly make your way down until he's stuffed into your mouth. Meanwhile Han is having a crisis over the amount of pleasure he's in. The warmth of your mouth, the way you pull his cock with your lips, your throat tightening and loosening around his cock, how much longer can he last? He pulls on the restraints hard, leaving red marks on his wrists, as his body squirms around to follow the pleasure you bring him. "Baby-Mommy I think I-I," Han attempts to warn you about the incoming flood of cum he's built up but you quickly pull off his cock and he whines loudly again. You abruptly grab his jaw, a little forceful, but not too much. You can feel his breath against your hand, coming in and out in a rapid pace, as the pulse in his neck throbs against your hand, signaling at his racing heart from the adrenline.
"You cum when I say you can cum. Got it?" You tilt you head and he whines softly as he nods. "Good boy," You kiss his jaw and you hear the whimper he holds in his throat. You throw your leg over him to straddle him and he looks up at you with a different look this time, one of excitement and lust. You adjust your skirt to reveal you were wearing nothing under it the whole time. Jisung's face flushes as he sees your lack of clothing. You then position yourself over him, his cock aligned with your slit. You begin to sink down on his cock, the two of you moaning in unison as his cock fills you. You let out a deep breath before beginning to rock your hips very softly. Jisung groans as he feels his tip rubbing up against your hilt and a grin of pleasure spreads across his face.
It's not long before you find yourself hopping on Han, not quite bouncing, but you were coming up and down on him. He tugs at the restraints again as he arches his back and you feel his cock twitching inside you.
"C-Can I cum soon?" He looks up at you with doe eyes that you literally can't say no to.
"Soon baby," You stroke his cheek softly and he let's out a pathetic whine. He then tosses his head back nd you can tell by his expression it's taking everything in him to not burst right then and there. You begin to ride him harder, the sound of your skin clapping together echoes in the room.
"Please!" He sobs out before groaning, "I can't, I can't~" as tears build on his lashes. Your eyes widen at the sight but you could tell he wasn't in pain, no, he was loving this. He looks directly into your eyes as tear falls along the curve of his cheek. Han then squints his shut and tears pour down his cheeks, his orgasm hitting him like a tidal wave. "Fuck!" He cries as his hands slip out of the restraints to pull you close. His arms wrap around your chest as he moans loudly and breathlessly into your ear. He then faintly whispers "Thank you," before resting his head on your shoulder.
you were momentarily frozen but you snap out of it and wrap your arms around him.
"Your welcome," You smile and he nuzzles into your neck, moaning softly.
"You just look so sexy in this," He tugs at your lingerie and you blush with a little smile.

. . . Marc Bernal was a stubborn man, but you’d learned by now that stubbornness came in many forms.
Before his injury, it had come in the form of determination; hours on the field perfecting his form, late nights reviewing game footage, and a strong power to push through any challenge.
But now? Now, his stubbornness was all about you; keeping you within arm’s reach, clinging to you like his very life depended on it.
"Amor," he called softly from the couch, his voice laced with despair. He was propped up on a fortress of pillows, his leg elevated and wrapped securely.
Despite his injury, he still looked annoyingly good, hair slightly messy and those brown eyes glinting with mischief. "Where are you going?"
You paused mid step, holding his empty water bottle. "To the kitchen. You drank all your water, remember?"
"But what if I need you?" His eyes widened, and he gave you a look so pathetically sweet that you almost felt bad for him. Almost.
"Marc," you said, trying not to laugh. "I’ll be gone for two minutes."
"Two minutes is too long," he protested, holding out his hand. "Come here. Just for a second."
You sighed, walking back to him. The moment your hand touched his, he pulled you down onto the couch, his arms wrapping securely around your waist. "Marc! You’re supposed to be resting your leg!"
"I am resting," he said, nuzzling into your neck. "See? I’m very comfortable now."
"You’re impossible," you muttered, but you couldn’t stop the smile creeping onto your face. His arms tightened around you as if you might disappear if he let go.
"I’m injured," he reminded you, his tone almost whiny. "I need my girlfriend to take care of me."
"I am taking care of you," you replied. "That’s why I need to go to the kitchen, so I can bring you water and snacks and everything else you’ve been demanding all day."
"I haven’t been demanding," he said bitterly, though the effect was ruined by the way his lips were brushing against your shoulder. "I’ve been… asking nicely."
"Uh huh. Sure."
Marc pulled back just enough to look at you, his eyes sparkling with mischief. "Kiss me, and I’ll let you go."
"You’re bribing me with kisses now?" you asked, arching an eyebrow.
"It’s not a bribe," he said, leaning in closer. "It’s motivation."
You rolled your eyes but indulged him, pressing a soft kiss to his lips. He hummed in satisfaction, his hand coming up to cradle the back of your head as if to keep you there forever. When you tried to pull away, he pouted.
"That was too quick," he complained.
"Marc, your water…"
"Stay," he murmured, his voice dropping to that low, intimate tone that always made your heart flutter. "Just for a little while. Please?"
You sighed, knowing you were fighting a losing battle. "Fine. Five minutes. But then I’m getting your water."
"Deal," he said quickly, his grin triumphant.
He pulled you closer, his lips finding yours again in a kiss that was slower, deeper, and so full of affection that it made your chest ache. His fingers laced through yours, holding your hand tightly as if to attach you to him.
"You’re so clingy," you teased when you finally broke apart.
"Only with you," he admitted without hesitation. "You’re my favorite person, mi amor. Why wouldn’t I want you close?"
Your heart melted a little at his words, and you couldn’t resist brushing a strand of hair from his forehead. "You’re lucky you’re cute," you said, and he laughed softly, the sound warm, making your heart beat slightly faster.
"I’m lucky to have you," he corrected, his voice serious now. "I don’t know what I’d do without you."
"You’d survive," you said lightly, but he shook his head.
"Not like this," he said, squeezing your hand. "You make everything better, even when I’m stuck on this stupid couch with a torn knee."
You opened your mouth to reply, but before you could say anything, he shifted, pulling you fully onto his lap. "Marc!" you yelped. "Your knee!"
"It’s fine," he said, his hands settling on your waist. "You don’t weigh anything. And this is much better, don’t you think?"
You glared at him, but he just smiled up at you, his eyes sparkling with mischief. "You’re ridiculous."
"Ridiculously in love with you," he countered smoothly, leaning in to nuzzle your neck. His lips brushed against your skin, sending shivers down your spine.
"You’re impossible," you muttered, but you didn’t move. You couldn’t bring yourself to pull away when he was looking at you like that, his gaze so full of love and adoration that it made your heart skip a beat.
"Maybe," he admitted, his smile softening. "But you love me anyway, right?"
You rolled your eyes, but you couldn’t stop the smile that tugged at your lips. "Yeah, I do."
"Good," he said, pulling you down for another kiss. This one was slower, sweeter, and so full of emotion that it made your chest ache. When you finally pulled away, his forehead rested against yours, his eyes fluttering closed.
"I love you," he murmured, his voice barely above a whisper. "So much."
"I love you too," you said softly, your hand coming up to cup his cheek. His eyes opened, and he looked at you with so much tenderness that it took your breath away.
"Stay with me," he said again, his voice pleading. "Just for a little while longer."
You knew you should get up, that he needed his water and you had other things to do, but in that moment, nothing else mattered. You nodded, settling against him as his arms wrapped around you securely.
"Just for a little while," you whispered, and he smiled, pressing a kiss to your forehead.
"That’s all I need," he said, his voice soft and content.
For the rest of the afternoon, you stayed there with him, his arms holding you close as if to remind you that you were his, and that he wasn’t letting you go anytime soon.
As the hours passed, you found yourself completely wrapped up in Marc's presence, your body nestled comfortably against his. It wasn’t just the physical proximity; there was something about the way he held you that felt so secure, so comforting.
He didn’t want to let go, not even for a second. It was almost like his need for you was more than just emotional; it was something deep. You could feel the way he’d tighten his grip on you when you tried to move, pulling you back toward him with a quiet insistence.
"Amor, you’re not going anywhere, right?" he murmured into your hair, his lips brushing against the top of your head. The soft sound of his voice, laced with a quiet desperation, made your heart flutter in your chest.
You looked up at him, giving him a soft smile. "I’m not going anywhere, Marc."
He gave you a small, satisfied smile, but it didn’t last long before his lips were finding yours, the kiss gentle at first, testing, almost as if asking for permission.
His hand came to rest on your cheek, his thumb brushing over your skin, sending a shiver down your spine. When you responded, kissing him back with the same tenderness, he deepened the kiss, his body pressing closer, his knee injury forgotten in the heat of the moment.
The kiss was slow, deliberate, as if he was trying to savor every second. You felt his breath quicken as his hand moved to the back of your neck, his fingers tangling in your hair, holding you in place as he kissed you harder.
There was no rush, no urgency, just the overwhelming feeling of him needing to be close to you. His lips were soft against yours, his kisses lingering as though he couldn’t bear to pull away.
When he finally did, it was only to breathe, his forehead resting against yours, his eyes closed like he was memorizing the way you felt.
"I just… I need to be near you," he whispered, his voice barely above a breath. "I’m not letting you go. Not now. Not ever."
You smiled, tracing his jaw with your fingers, the simple act of touching him grounding you. "I’m not going anywhere, Marc. I’m right here."
His arms tightened around you again, pulling you onto his lap, despite the injury. You felt his breath hitch as he shifted carefully, but he didn’t let you go.
"Good," he murmured, his lips brushing your neck in a tender, slow kiss that made your heart skip a beat. "I’m so lucky to have you."
"You’re lucky to have me?" you teased, lifting your head to look at him. "I think the luck’s all on my side."
Marc laughed softly, his hands gently caressing your back as he settled you more comfortably on his lap. "You have no idea how much I love you," he said, his voice filled with a sincerity that made your chest tighten.
He pressed a soft kiss to your cheek, his lips lingering there for a moment before he pulled back to look into your eyes. "You’re everything to me. And I want you to know that. Every day, always."
You could feel your heart swell at his words, your own emotions rising with every touch, every kiss.
You cupped his face in your hands, pulling him in for another kiss, deeper this time, as if you could convey everything you were feeling without words.
Marc kissed you back with equal intensity, his hands moving to your waist, gently pulling you closer.
"Stay with me like this forever," he whispered between kisses, his lips tracing over your skin. "I never want to let you go."
You smiled, kissing him again, more passionately this time. “I’m not going anywhere, Marc,” you repeated, as if your words were a promise, a vow.
And he believed you.

Astra: (sighs) Well, today would be a busy one huh? I wonder if I can visit everyone today...
Mammon: (still on the other side of the door with Satan) Do you need a ride? I can take you~
Satan: My motorcycle is faster. We can ride in style. You can't come Mammon you won't fit.
Mammon: Of course. Your tiny bike is way too small. I'm surprised you have room for Astra. Her ass alone is-
Astra: OKAY I GET THE POINT. We'll go later....
*phone buzzes again*
[Asmodeus: Hi dear <3 Look up from your phone for me?]
Astra: Huh? (looks up to see Asmodeus naked in her room except there's a present box over his crotch)
Asmodeus: Come see what I got you~ (winks as the box twitches)
Astra: I would ask how you got in here, but I already know the answer. I think uh...I'll open my gift another time.
Asmodeus: Awh, really? I spent a lot of time making sure it's to your liking...I heard you like..."double" the amount of fun.
Astra: Asmo...did you?
Asmodeus: Yes <3
*the door is suddenly splintering and cracking from Satan ripping at it*
Satan: FUCK OFF ASMODEUS GO AWAY.

Meanwhile on Earth
Ppyong: Minhyeok!!! Bestie!!!! Merry Christmas, aye! I come with good news from Miss Astra.
Minhyeok: ??? Is she coming home!?
Ppyong: No....but she sent gifts, aye! Here!~ (pulls out a small bag from his belly pouch that suddenly grows larger once it hits the floor)
Minheyok: Oh...(pulls out a locket that has a photo of him and Astra)
Ppyong: Isn't it cute, aye? Miss Astra had the necklace custom made in Tartaros! Real gold, aye! I'm super jealous.
Minhyeok: Astra...I wish she was here so I could thank her properly, I- (he suddenly sees another gift, a book and a pair of panties inside a sealed bag) Eh? What is this?
Ppyong: (grins) Me and some of the nobles made this for you, aye! Take a look...
*Minhyeok picks up the book to realize it's a collection of lewd photos of Astra professionally took by Phenomenon*
Minhyeok: !!!! Ppyong...this...this is indecent....does she know you did this? And what are....these panties?
Ppyong: Those are special panties, aye! Miss Astra had those on during her Christmas Cold, so she came alot while wearing them, aye! I save them for you as her scent was the strongest during that time.
Minhyeok: (blushes heavily while confused by the term "Christmas Cold" and the fact she "came" in them repeatedly) I, uh....
Ppyong: You'll be happy to know she called out your name during, aye! (flies around happily oblivious the fact that Minhyeok is close to passing out being overwhelmed with information)
Merry Christmas, ya'll <3 Lol Astra has her hands full apparently with everyone hitting her up and Asmo being himself as usual. Plus is sounds like Minhyeok got some pretty awesome gifts 👀💀

last christmas
“Are you ready for your gift?” you asked him excitedly. It was finally your favourite time of the year, Christmas. You always loved this time as it was one of the rare occasions where you were able to spend it with your loved ones—your family would all meet up later on at your parents’ house for the yearly Christmas dinner.
Unfortunately for you your boyfriend wouldn’t be able to join you all because of prior commitments he couldn’t get out of, of what they were exactly you weren’t sure but you surmised he must’ve decided to spend it with his own family as that would be the logical answer. You didn’t probe further because you knew he hated being asked a lot of questions.
You didn’t mind him not joining you, you thought he too deserved to share it with those he cared about most so you offered to meet earlier to exchange gifts before you separated to your various plans. You handed him a small box you’d expertly gift wrapped and watched excitedly as he unwrapped it. He finally opened the box and stared into it, his eyes widening.
“No way. You didn’t.”
You nodded enthusiastically, unable to contain your elation. “I did! I saw they were on sale and knew immediately that I had to get them. And look, court side!”
You’d gotten him tickets to go watch his favourite basketball team. He jumped out of his seat and howled with joy. He’d always wanted to see a live game but always fell short on funds when the time would come to purchase them. You figured this would be the perfect gift, plus the two seats were court side. He’d always mentioned he wanted to watch from there.
“This is best, thank you, babe!” He mentioned he couldn’t wait to tell his best friend the news. You furrowed her eyebrows but thought nothing of it because surely he’d be taking you, right? Surely he’d be able to see that that was the intention and so you made no comment further on the matter.
“Okay, where’s my gift?” He seemed to only remember then that you were still in the room.
“It’s not here yet,” he started much to your disappointment, ”but it should be in tomorrow. There was a little delay on the delivery.”
You understood it could happen. It was a busy time of the year after all. “What is it, then?”
“You’ll love it. It’s something I think you’ll really enjoy.” He paused, almost as if for dramatic effect before giving you a wide grin. “It’s a massage chair.”
Your face slightly fell before you recovered before he could notice.
“Oh.”
He, however, sensed you weren’t quite as pleased as he was about your new gift. “What?”
“It’s just that…I don’t think I need a massage chair.”
This was your polite way of saying you absolutely had no interest in a massage chair. In fact, if you remembered correctly, he was the one who’d always wanted a massage chair. You knew exactly which one he’d always wanted as well and figured that was the one he’d gotten for you instead.
“What do you mean? You’ve mentioned it a few times before.”
That was where he was wrong.
“I wanted a foot spa.”
He shrugged, dismissing your statement.“Same thing. Just plop your feet up and it’ll give you a massage. This is a real steal, anyway. Instead of just your feet it’ll do your whole body. You should be happy about this.”
You sighed and said, “Well it’s not exactly what I wanted—“
You weren’t surprised when he wouldn’t let you finish. “Do you know how much this cost me? For you to be berating me like this?”
It didn’t cost him anything, you knew. He’d most likely asked his mother for the money. He hardly ever had some of his own.
“I wasn’t berating you. Actually it’s-“
“No. I’m not taking any of this. I try to do something special for you and you throw it right in my face. That’s so typical of you.”
You were quite familiar with the way this game would play out by now. Whenever he was in the wrong, he’d find a way to twist the situation so the finger would point back at yourself and you’d be the one who would need to apologise and when you would, he wouldn’t accept it, stating how his feelings were the ones that were hurt and how he was the one needed some space from you.
And that’s exactly how it went.
You just hated it had to happen on the one day you always looked forward to the most. You couldn’t believe he’d ruin your favourite holiday. You wouldn’t let him. Instead, you offered to leave his apartment before it could escalate further so you’d have the necessary time apart and you’d still be in somewhat of a cheery mood for when it was time to meet with your loved ones. Nothing would ruin your Christmas spirit, not even him.
The next day, you woke up to numerous missed calls and text messages from him asking if you could come over to his apartment to talk about the previous day.
That was how you found yourself on one side of his couch with him looking pensive on the other end, clearly ensuring there was enough distance between the both of you.
“How was the rest of your christmas? You didn’t call back but I assumed you were probably busy with your family. I know how this time gets,” you said as a means of a conversation opener. Nobody had spoken a word yet since he’d opened the door to let you in and the tension was thick between the two of you. His response didn’t make matters better. “I didn’t spend it with family.”
“You spent it alone?”
Hope dripped in your voice.
“No.”
And soon dried out.
“With your friends.” It wasn’t a question. You knew the answer and knew what would follow.
“She was there.” You knew who he was referring to. You could taste the bile forming.
“Oh.”
“After last night, I just needed someone to listen to me and hear me out and then one thing led to another and…”
“Oh.”
You couldn’t bring yourself to say anymore. Words evaded you. You were afraid if you did try to say anything more, nothing would come out but your hot tears that already threatened to fall. After a while, he broke the silence. “Aren’t you gonna say anything?”
“What do you want me to say?” came her question in a soft, broken voice.
“Well if it wasn’t for our fight, we wouldn’t be in this situation.”
It was in that moment everything seemed clearer to you. The rose coloured glasses you’d somehow worn up to this point fell off and you finally saw him for who he was. You knew for sure in that moment you held no place in his heart, not like how he held one in yours which was an upsetting realisation to come by on one of the most magical days of the year.
“I can’t believe you.” You stood to leave and you weren’t surprised when he hardly moved to try and stop you. “Where are you going?” came his halfhearted attempt at doing so.
With one last look, you turned to him. “I’m done here. I’m done with you.“
Yeosang had asked to meet you in the city later on that night. It was already prearranged. You thought of cancelling but thought being around a friend during this time would be beneficial for you and your other friends were all already busy, helping with tidying up any remaining bits and pieces from the day before. You found herself aimlessly walking around the city, watching as the snow fell onto you and onto the ground. You couldn’t help but notice couples walking with each other, hand in hand, joyfully laughing and talking to one another as if they had no care in the world. You couldn’t help the sad feeling that overcame you and hugged yourself in comfort before going on.
You finally stopped in front of the large Christmas tree in the city square and admired the warm, flashing lights decorating the white tree. A large flashing star was placed on top of it and “We wish you a Merry Christmas” tinkled on from nearby spears on either side.
It brought a tear to your eye which you quickly wiped off.
“Merry Christmas.” You turned and found Yeosang standing behind you with a large red and green box in his hands and a Santa’s hat on. You gave him a small smile and playfully rolled your eyes.
“That was yesterday, dummy.”
“I know but I never got the chance to tell you.”
You realised just how long it had been since you’d last spoken to him and your heart clenched. There was time here you wouldn’t go a day without speaking but because your boyfriend always got mad when you spoke to him, you had to cool your communication. You were glad you didn’t have to worry about that anymore because in all honesty, you really missed him. More than you could ever understand. Now that you were with him again, everything felt like it was beginning to make sense again.
He lead you to a nearby bench and you both sat down. You noticed you could still admire the Christmas lights behind you and how they illuminated a warm hue on his face—almost as if to enhance his already kind and ethereal features.
“You don’t even celebrate Christmas,” you said once you’d settled down. He shrugged and placed the box in between you. “But you do. So I’ll celebrate for you.”
“What’s this?”
“A gift.” You eyed him suspiciously before opening the box and gasped.
“It’s a foot spa.”
“Well, you mentioned how much you’d like one once so I thought I’d get it for you.” His eyes widened in slight panic. “What, did you already get it yourself?” Then they widened even more said that were possible. “What’s wrong why are you crying?”
You held the box close to you and shook your head to ease his thoughts. “It’s perfect. Thank you. I really do appreciate it, Sangie.”
You couldn’t help your giggle at the red tint brushing over his cheeks.
“You’re welcome.”
———
this christmas
“I can’t believe you still haven’t told him how you feel.” You had dragged your begrudging brother along with you to help shop for last minute Christmas gifts. You had been shopping for a good majority of the day and he’d been moaning and groaning for quite some time but you chose to ignore it—more so threatened him with not receiving his own which you’d bought already if he continued to complain.
“What are you talking about?” You looked at him quizzically before going back scouting for a gift.
“Your crush on Yeosang?” You rolled your eyes.
“Can you even call it that anymore? It’s passed that point by now.”
In retaliation, you aggressively shoved his shoulder causing him to stumble and protest about the slippery floor—which aptly you ignored.
“I do not have a crush on him,” you told him pointedly. He scoffed.
“We’ve searched high and low for the perfect Christmas gift for him. I’m sure it didn’t take you this long to find ours.”
“Well, because I know what you guys want, you won’t shut up about it. He doesn’t celebrate Christmas so I have to make sure it’s worthwhile.” You pouted before returning to the task at hand.
“Whatever you get him he’ll love it, I’m sure of it because it’s from you.”
You weren’t budging. “It has to be perfect.”
“And why exactly should it be?”
You could sense the teasing in his voice.
“It just does.”
You knew Yeosang for a little over three years now. You’d met one day through a mutual friend, Wooyoung when he’d convinced you both to attend a party. You stood in a corner, nursing your drink and waiting for the right time to go home but your plans were derailed when you found camaraderie in Yeosang. You didn’t even notice the time passing and you two have been inseparable since, something Wooyoung also never fails teasing you both about. But the possibility of you having feelings for him? You loved Yeosang. He was always so sweet and gentle with you and cared for you like no one else did. You always felt safe around him and comfortable enough to be vulnerable with him but to go as far as saying you had feelings for him? He was simply your best friend. That’s all he was. Was it?
There was a knock on the door and you immediately rushed to get it.
“Yeosang!”
He was standing on the other side, flowers in one hand and a few gift bags in the other. Your mother wasn’t too far behind you and happily greeted the new guest.
“Oh it’s lovely to see you again!”
You’d brought him over a few times before whenever you’d visit your parents and they’d now gotten accustomed to him and treated him as if he were their own. Your mother quickly ushered him in and took the gifts and flowers from him after gushing at how thoughtful he was. She gave you a teasing glance before heading to put the gifts by the tree.
“Uncle Yeosang!” your niece called as she ran inside and hugged him. Your sister and brother followed suit.
“Glad to see it’s you with her,” your sister commented.
“It’s not like that,” you mumble but your sister chose to not acknowledge your comment. It was your brother who had instead.
“Yeah, yeah, we’ll take what we can get. Come join us.”
You all lead him into the living room where the rest of your family was. He greeted your father, it would be an understatement to say he’d taken a liking to him, as well as your grandmother, cousins aunts and uncles who’d joined you this year. Christmas was one of the only times where you’d all see each other so it was almost always a full house.
Whilst you helped your mother and sister in the kitchen, Yeosang helped your brother and father outside.
“My ex tried to contact me again today,” you said as you peeled carrots.
Your mother huffed. “Of course he did. You were always too good for him. I kept telling you he was a good for nothing.”
“Mom,” you groaned.
“You know she’s right. Why haven’t you blocked him already?”
“If you must know, I kind of forgot about him after our break up? He didn’t try to get in touch with me afterwards and I just kind of forgot to? I only remembered when I got the message today.”
“Whatever the case is, I thought last Christmas would be the last we hear of him. Should’ve been sooner, if you ask me. We’re on to bigger and better things now. Yeosang.” Your sister gave you a cheeky smile. You playfully nudged her but said nothing further as you continued with your allocated dish.
After dinner was ready, you all sat down to feast. You were well aware of the chosen seat for Yeosang right next to yours at the dinner table. Everyone joked and laughed with one another and you couldn’t help noticing how natural it was for him to be there and how accepting everyone seemed to be towards him.
Whenever you’d brought your ex around your family, there’d always been an underlying tension with their interactions towards him but with Yeosang, everyone seemed so cheery and open. You even stayed longer afterwards with him as you all gathered around for a game of Christmas charades, separating into two teams. You and him were on opposing teams and, unfortunately for you, he was on the winning team. He wasn’t one to outwardly gloat about winning but he couldn’t help himself from teasing you from time to time much to your chagrin. He knew you could be a sore loser and took full advantage of it.
It was finally time for everyone to say their goodbyes. You saw the rest of them out until it was finally only you, your immediate family and Yeosang left.
You and him made it outside your parents’ backyard to see they had gone all out with the Christmas decorations and lights. You lead him to a little archway where a bench sat underneath. You were aptly aware of his knee touching yours.
It was a cold December night but Yeosang had asked if you two could speak where it was just you two and you figured this was the best option where your family wouldn’t interrupt.
“My family likes you,” you said as you smiled at him and leaned against his shoulder. You could hear his own smile when he responded.
“I like your family too.” “What’s this about your mother welcoming me into your family?” You looked up to him to see he was beet red at this point but still tried to come off as playful. You excused it for the cold.
“Don’t mind her. She’s just happy to move on from any reminder of my ex in my life.”
“Does it hurt?” You leaned against him again and shook your head.
“No. Not as much as I thought it would. He tried to contact me earlier today.” There was a pause.
“And?”
“I didn’t respond. He’s not worth it.” You scrunched your nose. “Never was, was he?”
“You said it.” He held up his hands in defense which made you chuckle.
The two of you sat in comfortable silence, as comparable as two people could be in the freezing cold, and you closed your eyes as you took in the moment. You felt him shuffling underneath you which caused you to sit up and give him a quizzical look. You excused his crimson face for how cold it was but then you noticed he didn’t meet your eyes as he held a small rectangular box in his hands.
“Here,” he quickly said with what felt like great effort as if he was steeling his nerves to speak.
“What’s this?”
“Your gift.”
“Oh! I actually got you something too but it’s back in the house. I can go—“
“No, no.” He caught your arm before you made it far. “It’s fine. I’ll see it later. Open yours first.”
The determined look on his face stilled your movements as you sat back next to him and opened the box. Inside you found a necklace with a small diamond encrusted snowflake as a pendant.
“I didn’t know what I should get you so I got you this. I hope you like it.”
Your fingers ran over the snowflake and you smiled.
“It’s perfect. I love it.”
“Last Christmas was such a mess for you. I just wanted to make this one a better experience. It’s your favourite holiday and you deserve to have happy memories of it again.”
Your eyes filled up as you looked at him. Yeosang was naturally soft spoken, you knew this but in this moment it seemed he was fighting with himself to get the words out. He looked like he had more to say but struggled to find the words. You had a feeling you knew what it was but you didn’t want to give yourself any false hope. It was then you realised, you actually wanted your not-so-secret wish to come true. It was then you realised, as your heart pumped out of your chest, just how much Yeosang really meant to you.
“Sangie…”
“I really like you, y/n. I’ve liked you for a long time and I understand if you don’t feel the same way. I just couldn’t go another day without letting you know how I feel.”
You knew from how fast he spoke he hadn’t fully processed what it was he’d just admitted to. Once his words caught up to him, his eyes nearly bulged out of his skull. You would’ve laughed if you yourself weren’t so overcome with emotion.
Suddenly everything made sense, how he’d always been the one you’d run to, call when you needed help or even just to hear his voice, why you needed his gift to be perfect because to you he was perfect and you wanted him to know.
But you were nervous. Yeosang was so dear to you that you knew if he were to ever break your heart the way your ex did, you might not recover from it. You couldn’t bear losing him forever. If you were to take this leap with him, you had to be sure what you both had was true and not a fleeting feeling. You wished there could be a sign to aid you in your decision.
Something touched your cheek and you realised, once you’d looked up that it had began snowing again. You also noticed something above you both and smiled to yourself.
“We’re under a mistletoe,” you whispered but loud enough for him to hear. He looked up as well and noticed what you’d noticed.
“What does that mean again?” You leaned in close to him, a smile still dancing on your lips.
“It means kiss me, silly.” Yeosang cradled your face ever so gently until finally your lips met. It was as sweet and as soft as he was and with it you knew that your heart this time around was in safe hands.

A Beast
Outworld Royal Family X Prophetic!Reader
Sindel's child from a second marriage has always been... Peculiar. Whispering to themselves, saying strange things, always seemingly in a dreamlike state. It's something the Royal Family has grown used to. It’s a shame, really. It causes them to ignore the warnings they bring. Edit: forgot to say that @isabelawritesthings gave me the idea! Posted a poll recently and wanted to do this concept and they suggested doing it with the Royal Family!
You couldn't blame them for not understanding you. You knew your words never made sense to them, because they never made sense to you.
It's a hard thing to explain. The world seemed to always shift between a dream and reality, so much so, it became hard to distinguish them. Moments in life, you'd relive them over and over and over again.
Why? You didn't know. It's hard to ask for help when you don't even know what you need help with
"Have you ever seen a male bird try to attract a female?" You asked, carefully adding details to the drawn bird on the paper below you. "All the dancing, it looks silly. It often reminds me of regular men. Maybe some people reincarnate into birds. Or maybe we all do. Some sort of cycle. Birds, then, I don't know, otters? A large beast maybe. I think I'd like to be a bird"
You could hear Kitana let out a "hmm", a noise of agreement hopefully. It'd be fun to be birds with your family. You'd be able to fly away from the prying eyes of those around you, the Royal life left behind. Yes. You'd quite like to be a bird.
"I think a large beast would be fun" Kitana said, "a bird I'd prefer, but I find larger animals cute"
"They are, aren't they? Most of them are at least. Not the ones here"
The beak, yes, it looked nice. A nice beak in comparison to the scary teeth you saw last night when you closed your eyes. Feathers. Nice and beautiful feathers colored pink.
"The ones here?”
You nodded, "yes. The one in Mileena's bed frightens me. It has large teeth, with these scary eyes". Eyes full of hunger, unlike the soft eyes you gave your bird.
"A beast?". Her tone told you all you needed to know - she was confused, but not as concerned as you wished she was. They never were. "They just say things" they'd whisper to others, "they mean no harm"
Those red eyes, those sharp teeth, the mouth extending, causing the skin to rip.
You slammed your pencil down, no longer able to find the joy in coloring. Over and over, you'd see this monster in her bed. Over and over you'd try to warn someone, but it was never real. Was this real?
You looked down at your hands. 1, 2, 3, 4, 5. 5 fingers on both hands. 10 fingers in total. This was real. Hopefully. Sometimes your dreams gave you the right amount of fingers and tricked you.
"Let's discuss something else”.
No! No, you had to warn them!
"There is a beast in Mileena's bed!" You urged, "a scary beast with blood dripping from its teeth!”
Her attempt to soothe you by placing her hand on yours had the exact opposite effect, throwing you into a frenzy. If the dreams would just be more clear, or if you could show them how your mind taunted you, then maybe they’d understand. “There is a beast!”.
“There is no beast”, she said softly as she pulled her hand back. Physical touch was either a hit or miss for you. Right now, it felt more overwhelming than comforting. “Let’s take a walk. Does that sound nice? It could help clear your mind”.
Your mind would never be clear. Thousands of years would pass, and it would still be as confusing as it was today. The beast would sleep in Mileena’s bed, and there was no way for you to stop it.
~~
You knocked softly on the door to your mother’s chambers, not wanting to disturb her if she was asleep. You doubted she could get any rest in these coming days, seeing as Mortal Kombat was getting closer and closer. She always found it hard to sleep, which you could understand. She worried over every little thing, and worrying would make anyone fidgety. It was human nature.
Sindel invited you in, used to your nightly visits. “You have more drawings to show me?” She asked, waving for you to join her on her bed.
If only. “Not this time”, you let the door close behind you, but it sounded strange. It wasn’t the usual boom. It was a… hmm… a puncture sound? Like a blade puncturing skin. Strange.
You must have zoned out. The next time you heard Sindel’s voice, she was next to you instead of on her bed. “Come. Let’s sit”.
No. Sitting would distract you and you couldn’t be distracted. “Have you seen Mileena?”.
“She is likely in bed”.
You shook your head, “no. There is a beast in her bed”. A deep sigh. It made you want to slam your head against the wall each time you heard it. “Just listen to me, please! It is a scary beast! We have to-“
“Shhh” she reached out to hold you, but decided to draw her hands back when you jumped. “Kitana has told me about this beast and I assure you, there is no beast on palace grounds. You had a nightmare”.
“NO- sorry! Sorry!”. Why couldn’t your dreams be more clear?! There was a beast in her bed, but you couldn’t see too many details. Its eyes and teeth glowed from the shadows, but that was all you could really see. “I’m afraid”.
Could she stop looking at you with those soft eyes?! You weren’t crazy! “My darling, Mileena is safe. You can go speak with her”.
“Mileena is- she has been distant with me. I’m… I think I did something to upset her”.
“Nonsense!” You could see her having to physically restrain herself from pulling you into a hug. Your entire family’s love language seemed to be physical touch, which really sucked at times. “Mileena has had a lot on her mind. The idea of being Empress weighs heavily on her. That is all I will say in regards to what she has told me. You’ve done nothing to deserve her ire”.
If Mileena was stressed and needed space, you didn’t want to bother her. But the beast in her bed…
“I’m afraid” you repeated.
Another deep sigh. “We can go to Mileena’s room together” Sindel said, grabbing her robe. “You will see that there is no beast”.
There was no beast.
But there was no Mileena either.
Not in her chambers, the study, the garden, anywhere.
With every guard searching, of course she was found. She was found on the ground bleeding, claw marks and bites covering her skin. And when she awoke… the beast…
She was the beast in her bed.
And you had been too late to save her.
Um, idk if I like this but it’s 8am sooooo imma call it a day.

Rain, Cinnamon, Cologne, and Conditioner
pairing: sirius black x reader
summary: Amortentia week is always chaotic. Especially so when you're lab partners with longtime frenemy sirius black
warnings: Language maybe, fic from reader's pov
a/n: been forever since i wrote for a marauder, lets hope this is acceptable 🙏🏻
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Although Slughorn certainly meant well, there was simply nothing that one could do to hate him a bit less during Amortentia week. Dramatic breakups preceded by "What do you MEAN you smell my sister's perfume!?", and hasty love confessions followed by immediate regret, for a spectator like me this was the best week ever at Hogwarts.
The class smelled faintly of rain and cinnamon to me, a lingering effect of the neighboring cauldrons.
"I honestly have no idea what I'm supposed to be smelling here, like, I am certain no one has smelled this exact smell before."
"James, come on, that is clearly Lavender."
"What?"
"I smell Lavender!" she said, weirdly enthusiastic about the smell.
"Lily, honey, say that again but slowly."
It took her a minute before she realized. Even the smartest people get confuddled sometimes. Of course, she'll never know what it smelled like to him.
Somewhere in the back, I saw Lucius Malfoy almost poke some poor kid's eye out with his wand, and next to his table was Severus Snape, staring menacingly into a cauldron that definitely did not have Amortentia in it. He was a weird kid. Creeps me out still.
Anyway, that brings us to Sirius and I, who couldn't agree on who gets to put the sneezewort in.
"After you," I said, not wanting to bear the brunt of what will follow. You see, Sneezewort gets its name from the fact that whenever it's added to a potion, it produces a puff of smoke that causes those closest to sneeze for a good entire minute.
"Oh, no, go ahead. I insist."
"Well, I insist more."
"I insist the most, then."
"Sirius, come on."
"Hey, you started it!"
"Well, you end it. I don't want to keep sneezing!"
"Oh, good, because it's my favorite hobby, sneezing incessantly."
There was no compromise in sight. That is, until-
"Alright Sirius, I'll tell you what. You convince Peter to do this, I'll get Marlene to go with you to Hogsmeade. For real this time."
"Please, I don't need you to be my wingman, I'm perfectly charming all on my own, thank you very much," he said, signature smirk decorating his face.
"You know you need my hel-"
"Yes I do, I was kidding, thank you so much, I love you."
I shook my head and laughed while waiting for Peter to take whatever bait Sirius was laying out. Sure, he was presumptuous and annoying, and the banter was endless, but I'd be lying if I said I didn't look forward to it every day at this point.
After Remus begrudgingly dragged a red-in-the-face Peter away from our table, we stirred the potion 3 times, and all that was left was to add the pieces of Lovelog. We added them at the same time and instinctively held our breaths and waited for the potion to turn pink, which it did. However, it didn't work.
"Dude, I smell nothing."
"Yes, thanks for pointing it out, (Y/n). Extremely astute observation. 10 points to Gryffindor."
"Oh, okay, sure, be all haughty after fucking up the potion."
"I fucked up? That's presumptuous! For all we know, you screwed up."
"Please, I used Slughorn's recipe down to the smallest detail there is no way it was me. You were the one who kept taking off to 'charm Marlene with your smile' every 5 minutes."
"Hey. I'm playing the long game and it will work. Eventually. Just- Admit that you screwed up, please?"
"Oh, no, no we are not doing this. Remus, could you come here, please?"
"Me? Oh, no, love. I am not getting involved with this," said Remus, vaguely gesturing in our general direction.
James threw a raisin-looking thing at Sirius' head to get his attention which met its mark, followed by a faint 'ow'.
"Oi dickhead! Lily says you're potion's working fine. She smells Lavender."
"Well dip me in milk and call me a cookie 'cause I cannot smell anything for the life of me over that fruity conditioner of yours," said Sirius, in an annoyingly accusatory tone that set me over the edge because well first of all fuck you. second of all-
"Oh, you're one to talk Mr I-must-use-the-entire-bottle-of-cologne. You smell like an axe showroom" Yeah, get his ass, me. "Also, I didn't use conditioner today, you pompous dick."
"Yeah? Well, get ready to feel stupid because I ran out of cologne yesterday. Ha. In your face." Wait, what?
Silence.
Contemplative silence.
A whole lot of good old silence.
Faces contorting in ways like never before as we unpack what just happened, in sweet, painful, silence.
"(Y/n) did you-"
"Uh-uh. Yep. Apparently. And you, uh,"
"Big time, yes."
"Oh, okay, so, uh, what now?"
"We could talk about it?"
Sirius Black wants to "talk it out". Yeah, we don't got this.
"Hey morons, you need to fu-"
"Yeah, thank you, Remus. We got it." "Yeah, Cheers, mate."

Ink October day 3: Sophistry
An argument that seems plausible, but is fallacious or misleading, especially one devised deliberately to be so.

I always forget how much of a character Player is#but they are truly their own guy. more then even some non-renameable/customisable game protagonists#the utter guts on this kid to challenge multiple foretellers multiple times, fight both Ephemer and Skuld at the same time-#(both very powerful in their own right),AND attempt and succeeded in tricking four of the personifications of darkness themselves is… wow#they’re such a powerful fighter too. like they kick both Skuld and Ephemer’s asses, and sure they were both not aiming to kill and exhausted#from fighting Ven’s darkness BUT SO WAS PLAYER (as well as having just come from the arcade and those fights)#them fooling the darknesses too… along side their two closest friends… I wonder if there was any noticeable change between their normal#fighting style and the one they used there. More crossover stuff 💥💥💥 + that one "piss off bitch boy" joke is so funny to me (Elias tries to look into Gertrude's mind and receives said response) and I feel like Collin would do it to him too
#tropical's art#digital art#art#collinlock16#minecraft arg but the protagonist is tired#I also feel like with his prick nature Collin would have a field day messing with Jon#On the basis that Jon is also a prick and falls squarely into “an annoying entity” in Collin's mind#Same with Elias#I feel like Collin needs a reason to be rude to someone and those two give him a reason to (but maybe it becomes a bit to Collin and Jon)#Prick to prick communication#Prick to prick conversation#Still have no idea how Collin would even effect the story in TMA other than bringing it more comedy#Oh yeah and Kevin is there! He's just curious as an Eye Avatar would be#But I feel like he would want understanding and not just plain seeing#What's the point of his ability if it's just at face value and weakens his own research skills?#Then he dips after visiting the Institute and checking it out#But yeah not sure what Collin's dynamic would be within the whole season 1-2 group#Considering he (probably) has no qualifications for working at an archive and yet was still hired as an intern#World's most self-indulgent crossover for me to share out on occasion 💥

#i never really thought about a person being a finite thing. you can see the effects of a person after they die. in the unfinished projects.#in the rooms of clutter. in abandoned closets. in pictures and in mermered phrases. and you can see time#chipping away at those things. eroding away the evidance that a person existed. clothes move into other people's closets. projects are boxed#away. and a person becomes confined to photos and memories. and thats existentially terrifying but its not a bad thing. time erodes away all#things. that's how life works. matter and energy transforms.#we arent made to last forever. i dunno. i guess im still just rattled from being home even tho ive been back a week and a half.#and my brain tends to fixate on the wrong things. nearly 27 years of knowing someone eclipsed by a visual sequence lasting less than a day.#bc i just cant get over how scary it would be to die like that. to start losing control of your body. to not be able to feed yourself or get#to the bathroom. to have your mind be overcome by the toxins building up in your mangled and broken body.#and it could have been worse. it could have been a lot worse. but its still not fair. theres no good way to die. i dunno. i guess i just#miss my mom in some abstract way but i find it more viscerally upsetting to think about the people that have to deal with her absence.#it makes me sad that my dad is alone now. i dunno. grief doesnt feel like i thought it would. most of the time i dont even know what im#crying about. its undirected. it doesnt feel like: i miss you. it feels like: youre gone. how can you be gone? why does everything feel the#same? and its not that it doesnt make sense. its that nothings changed. the terror of that.#and im walking around in an acumulation of my dead mother's clothes. and no one knows. theyll never know.#and there's nothing to be done about it. so it goes.#i guess im just sad. and its hard to breathe at the thought of returning to school at the end of August.#unrelated

also, while it's at the forefront of the ol' noodle, i do think about the fact that neve points out he's always first to meals, always cleans his plate.
and yeah, this points to food insecurity in the past. (it's not necessarily a habit i see him having / one he may have broken, but hoarding food in a safe place is another indicator.)
you know what it also points to, though? have you ever known someone as tall as emmrich? (i settled on 6'5, if you were wondering.) i have. dated one, was friends with a couple more, what can i say, they grow goth boys tall. they are always hungry. and while not inherently always true, every guy i've known that tall unless they made a real, serious, concentrated effort to put on mass, were rail thin to a one. that's a lot of length to put weight on, and all of them ate like they had a hollow leg.
so yeah. it very well is a sign he's experienced food insecurity growing up, absolutely. but also, he's probably fucking starving.
#( headcanon )#food cw#// personally i feel like it's a combo effect there#// yeah it's a holdover from growing up a certain way#// god knows i see some of those habits in myself you know#// but i have known some REALLY tall dudes#// and they all eat like they haven't seen food in days#// no matter how long it's been#// and i've just been turning this over in my head bc it's anecdotal#// but for some reason i have known and loved a disproportionate number of giants#// and it's just something i've noticed over the years#// my stepdad's STILL like this (he's 6'4)#// (and in his 60s)#// (tall and skinny and inhales food like a man dying)

One of the biggest problems of writing that Frasier post is that the logic of 90s comedies is not real life logic. It's not just that you can just pick which exaggerated thing to believe more (and sometimes you need to outright pick between two mutually excluding canon facts), but also the degree to which you believe anything. Which is fun for theorizing but also terrible for theorizing because to argue one way or another you need to create the fiction that the coherent narrative you are pointing out has value of truth in a universe where the value of truth is the rule of funny.
#This I'm saying about Frasier applies to others btw of course#like The Nanny suffers from those very same problems too#plus prestige tv in the early 2000s really messed with people's understanding of the extreme make-up-as-you-go quality of older tv#It's acknowledged with Cheers for the most part#But like yes Maris becomes more and more of a monster as seasons go by because the creators did take a direction after a few seasons#but seasons 1 and 2 at the very list (of Frasier I mean) are VERY undecided on whether they are going to save Niles and Maris' marriage#or take the Daphne route#And there's so much about expected genre tropes and the structure of sitcoms involved in those decisions!#the rule of funny being the main rule of a world above that of coherence and plausibility truly is a double edged sword#Like I'm confident I can write a narrative as to why Maris is actually not a monster at all in the first seasons of Frasier#And that at the very least some of the jokes are not meant to be taken seriously#but then to prove that I would have to point out all the times the narrative shows Niles mirroring Maris' bad traits#which of course are also ruled by the rule of funny!#Niles worrying about Maris ogling the pool boy while he's been ogling Daphne#Niles talking fondly of how one of their favorite past times when they were just married#was to laugh at people who wore white after labor day!#someone else could of course believe THESE are the ones played more for comedic effect#and believe the meanness of Maris as more real#(again still talking those early seasons)#and like it's not that serious#horrible people can be entertaining and comedy capitalizes on that#it's the emotional equivalent to the physical violence in old cartoons#it's not supposed to be realistic and taking it to be so is silly#on the other hand reimaging how the characters and the story could go in different directions#if the story WAS a drama is deeply compelling#but then how to convey you are just having fun theorizing the dramatic possibilities of unserious comedy#without coming across as if you were taking the comedy to be a drama#see the tough spot I'm in

Some scribbles :) (Patreon)
#Doodles#Original#Texture work is original sure lol#Went in hard on one of those Drawing Advice posts about ''Hey - literally just put pencil to paper and go no worries''#It was fun :D I Do still want to just doodle freely sometimes!#I still enjoy some structure to it so I ended making a grid of various like map-style textures to tell different biomes apart lol#But just general funsies scribbles were pretty good! I enjoyed the lot :)#S'good to just Make with abandon sometimes haha#I really like the hatching effect generally and it's something I want to improve at/implement more so the practice was nice there :)#Layering on paper/with only the one digital layer is always an interesting exercise in negative space and keeping things readable#I like drawing clouds with notably flat bottoms haha I think it's funny that they just sit there#I guess I'm used to cirrus clouds a lot so seeing cumulus big puffies with a clear delineation between bottom and the rest is just fun to me#They look like toys! Designed to sit! But they're just up there! How fun!#Squiggly branches/veins was something I did a tooon as a kid before I got into Drawing On Purpose y'know#Just pages and pages of branches on branches#And curls that curled away from each other - did a little bit of that with the circles and lines but not that much haha#I dunno if I still have any but it's interesting how that dwindled down to basically never over time#I definitely know what I prefer to draw these days but hmm still wonder a bit!#And loop-di-loops haha I was thinking of Erase quite a lot for that one honestly#And the way some Disney Princesses give autographs which one is it-#Belle! I remember when I got her autograph years ago and was really enamoured with the flourish :D#Grace and elegance in shape! Ah! So cool#That and RGB from TPoH haha - all these swoopies! I like them very much :)
